"what?" steve asks, scanning over kiara's face with concern and confusion in his eyes. "no ... why ... why would that be the worst thing i've ever heard, ki? if anything it's the best ..." something feels off, wrong. he thought maybe she'd been joking, but he sees no trace of amusement in her eyes. it feels like something is brewing that he doesn't like and he takes a step backwards, almost instinctively. arms crossing over his chest. almost as if protecting his heart. "what are you talking about? is everything okay, baby?"

"i know i said this on our first date, but ... the stars will truly never compare to you." is said softly by steve as he sidles up next to kiara, arms wrapping around her - chin going to rest in the crook of her neck. "i know back then you probably thought it was me just using a line, trying to impress you. but - i meant it then, i mean it now." he gives a shrug as best as he can with how they're positioned. "that doesn't mean i don't love this, though. if we see a shooting star, should we make a wish?"

steve can't help the way he smiles into the kiss, hands going almost instinctively to wrap around her waist - pulling her as close to him as he can. "hi darling." he greets softly once they pull away, looking down at her now with an expression that can only be described as 'lovestruck'. "you miss me or something?" but it's obvious he's teasing with the lilt in his voice and the way his eyes sparkle.

"hi, darling." steve whispers as he sidles up in bed next to kiara, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. he's trying to keep his volume low - as to not disturb the other members of their cabin. "i've missed you. how was your day?" it's not like they'd even been apart that long, but any time apart is too long in his opinion. he brushes some hair back from her face, smiling softly at her.
