i'm not here i'm still hiatusing you don't see me HOWEVER witch!astoria generally regulates her own body temperature with magic while she's awake - this allows her to wear whatever she wants despite the weather, which is why she can always wear a leather jacket and why she never sweats and messes up her eyeliner. that goes out the window while she's asleep. and since her body temperature is naturally on the lower side, she's freezing while she's asleep. if she shares a bed with another person, she's clinging to them in her sleep like an octopus with separation anxiety. if she's sleeping with a vampire, she does the same despite the fact that this makes her colder. she also, inevitably, sleeps piled under blankets if she's not with somebody producing their own body heat.

and across the board, astoria's nose twitches while she sleeps, and she sometimes shudders, kind of like when a kitten is dreaming about chasing rabbits. she is, in fact, dreaming of incredible violence.
