no balloon isn't canonically aromantic nor is he canonically aroace. he IS canonically arospec, though. there is a whole spectrum there. he can be whatever the fuck you want him to be. he can feel attraction but it may vary/depend, he may confuse romantic and platonic attraction, he could only be interesed on a queeplatonic relationship, he could not be interesed, he could be romance repulsed, or in any case it could just be the way he explains his points on his interview, that he doesn't exactly get the need to be on a romantic relationship but that he gets that it makes other objects happy.
