the   eldest   daughter   took   to   the   former   targaryen   king   like   a   moth   to   a   flame.   perhaps   a   fatal   attraction,   watching   as   her   beloved   father   fell   upon   the   madness   like   a   sword,   spiraling   and   spiraling   downwards.   daella,   not   even   old   enough   to   understand   the   happenings   of   political   meetings   with   the   small   council,   can   vaguely   remember   sitting   atop   her   father's   knee   as   her   elder   brother   festered   a   war.   her   fascination   remained   with   the   golden   crown   sat   atop   her   father's   silver   hair,   dreaming   of   a   day   in   which   she   would   be   allowed   the   same   fate.   some   would   say   daella   is   a   mirror   image   of   the   mad   king,   holding   her   own   fury   behind   her   eyes   in   his   merciless   way.   but,   she   manages   her   disposition   with   poise   and   grace,   placating   would   be   outbursts   with   a   smile.

time   in   essos   allowed   daella   to   blossom   into   the   queen   she   could   be.   while   the   targaryens   faced   the   fate   of   many   an   unkind   situation,   daella   changed   their   position   with   valyrian   features   and   memories   of   a   king   that   had   fostered   a   healthy   relationship   with   the   lords   of   lys,   of   pentos,   astapor,   and   myr.   however,   it   was   in   lys   where   she   was   allowed   a   seat   upon   the   council   of   a   noble   family.   there,   she   learned   the   necessities   of   diplomacy;   hosting   functions   set   to   introduce   herself   and   her   siblings   to   other   families   sharing   the   lilac   gaze   of   valyrian   heritage.   many   a   connection   was   formed.   it   was   lys   that   garnered   her   renewed   alliance   with   houses   of   westeros.   it   was   lys   that   established   the   title   the   rightful   queen   of   the   seven   kingdoms.

daella's   love   for   her   father,   for   her   brother,   for   the   people   of   westeros   ignited   a   small,   lingering   flame   for   a   return   to   her   home   country.   but   she   needed   the   tools   to   return,   the   kinship   of   former   allies,   a   driving   force   that   would   set   her   feet   upon   the   westerosi   shores   once   again.   the   night   of   the   red   comet,   when   gifted   eggs   became   dragons,   daella's   passion   was   ignited.   the   three   dragonlings,   each   loyal   to   a   different   targaryen   sibling,   became   a   beacon   of   hope   for   the   last   of   the   house   of   the   dragon.   it   was   their   arrivals   that   dared   the   targaryen   heir   to   accept   invitations   from   former   allies   to   return   to   westeros.

potential   betrothal   :    only   a   power grab.   the   eldest   targaryen   wishes   to   position   herself   higher   in   the   ranks   of   westeros   to   establish   some   sort   of   alliance   with   a   greater   house.   this   potential   betrothal   will   not   involve   any   romantic   interest,   perhaps   just   really   good   friendship   (   but   this   is   to   be   plotted   ). would eventually know daella's true identity.

alliances   :    surely   there   are   still   those   in   westeros   who   remember   the   reign   of   the   targaryens   and   wish   to   align   themselves   with   the   potential   for   them   to   return.   or   perhaps   they   have   grown   particularly   tired   of   the   usurper's   antics.   whatever   it   is,   daella's   sweet   disposition   would   lure   them   in   to   support   her   claim   to   the   throne,   right?

essosi   connections   :    ( i.e. hookups, former flings, unrequited love, enemies, acquaintances, etc. ) daella   and   her   siblings   have   spent   the   last   twenty   -   five   years   hiding   out   in   essos.   while   her   time   has   mainly   been   spent   garnering   relationships   with   essosi   nobles,   she   frequented   taverns   and   plays,   inhabiting   the   streets   and   getting   to   know   the   people.   in   this   time,   perhaps   she   met   those   visiting   from   westeros.   sure,   she   would   likely   hide   her   true   identity   for   her   and   her   siblings'   safety,   but   perhaps   not.
