I just thought of mega angst and its Childe getting stuck in a time loop where he has to watch his beloved die (like in Edge of Tomorrow, if ya know that movie). He can try to stop it, but it never works. He has to go thru the pain of watching them die in his arms again and again and again, and he becomes desperate to stop the time loops.

:O I love it!!! I haven’t heard of that movie, but this concept reminds of Kagerou Daze. Childe is heartbroken when he witnesses you die in the loop. No matter how much it happens, it always pains him because he’ll never get used to it. He works tirelessly trying to find a way to stop the loop from continuing or prevent it from taking you, but nothing’s worked so far. He feels as though he was cursed to live out his life always watching his beloved perish and that’s a reality far more gruesome than anything he faced in the Abyss. He’s certain that this is far worse.
