I have an extremely lifted face so it looks super weird when it gets flattened out in the images - ie. in a rasterised format

What am I wearing: I have never used a concealer & I just discarded more than 10 products (brand new) which had expired, never got to use them you know why… (not talking about the Pandemic) anyway I require these products/essentials & they are next on my Wishlist - Eyeliner, Liquid Liner, Eyebrow Pencil, a good foundation & face palette (with bronzer for contouring and loose powder) white or nude liner, lipgloss and mascara. I’m gonna take everything slowly because I have to fix my health first…

Today inspite of the convulsions & my fever (I’m feeling very sick cuz I couldn’t stop crying and I’ve written what happened yesterday night) I decided to somehow click a selfie… I have used Dior Backstage Foundation (ONLY under my eyes to hide away the eye bags cuz like I said I’ve been crying all night since more than a week, since years actually) I don’t like it at all, it was a blind buy for 3500/- I had taken their cushion long ago in 2018 for 3100/- now the prices have skyrocketed and they are for 7500/- in Dubai, sorry if you can’t afford Anna Taylor Joy or supermodels (world’s richest supermodels, their net worth can last almost 5 generations) if you can’t afford them & their paychecks don’t expect it from your costumers, I think this is where it’s going wrong… ever since they’ve hired them, their prices have gone up. Their backstage foundation is very dry and powdery, it’s extremely matte, I’m literally compromising on it, I wanted the Gucci cushion which was for 6000 as a one time purchase for my Birthday cuz if you can get Gucci which is elusive in India, why spend 7500 on Dior? They are anyway not interested in selling their entire range here inspite of having several stores & counters in Mumbai and they’ve lost all credibility after the recent hike (in prices) I can’t imagine spending nearly 10k on a mere foundation… my father said we can buy it but I don’t want to encourage them, charging 7500-9000/- for a cushion is insane. I didn’t get Gucci either cuz honestly I don’t mind spending max. 3500/- on foundations or any base makeup but 6k would’ve been pricier, I prefer spending or investing in my skin, so I have a moisturiser with SPF + a silky soft night cream + face wash + mask + scrub & a separate polisher + 2 lip balms so I actually can’t afford foundations which cross 3500/- or 4K budget. I realised Gucci’s cushion was on the heavier side. I saw a few images and videos and I wanted something lightweight, it would’ve again made my whole face matte, I prefer a dewy look. I have used Dior’s Forever Skin foundation before, I had it when I was 18… it was too thick and it would clog up all my pores, moreover the lead content was making my skin dark, it was also very sticky so I used to have a hard time blending it & it would look very cakey in daylight… no one around had anything positive to say about that foundation. I would still recommend Airflash which is lighter and much better for daywear, it doesn’t look patchy in daylight (or strong cool lights) wearing it on a daily basis can cause skin darkening because it contains a significant amount of lead… so it depends on how you use it but that’s a common issue with all foundations.

Like I said, I didn’t choose my looks nor have I ruined them so it’s not my fault, you know who’s responsible… don’t blame me for my ugliness, thanks. I’m wearing Backstage foundation under my eyelids cuz I’ve been crying all night, every night. It’s too thick & matte and it dries up very fast so it’s like a quick drying glue (I hate such formulas no offence) I have some eyeshadow on my eyelids from… well I can’t reveal the name, it’s my fav brand (sorry I want to keep it as a secret)… they have a gorgeous theme for each & every line. I love all the satiny corals and soft ivories, as well as the shades provided for Smokey eyes, I was thrilled to see all these English colours and I love the fragrance and texture both, it smells like cake 🍰 it imparts a soft glistening look instead of that regular “dazzle or shimmer” like most other eyeshadows. It also makes your eyelids more velvety, inspite of being in a brick format. Next, I’m wearing a lip liner (I’ve always been fond of them) and a matte lipstick, some frosty pink blush + loads of moisturiser for a natural dewy glow.

Speaking of Guts, I always knew that when I’ll finally click a selfie after 5 long years I’ll be doing it without much makeup, there’s no base makeup, no foundation, no concealer, no contour powder, no highlighter, no lipgloss, no lip plumper *damn* (like I said guts) undone eyebrows :/ I don’t have an eyebrow pencil (that’s next on my Wishlist, I do have joint eyebrows but “luckily” they are too light to be visible, although there is a “joint”, I’ve never used a tweezer to maintain that “luck factor”) I have not used any eyeliner or mascara but yeah I do have a few things like I’ve mentioned in the previous paragraph…

The biggest challenge was clicking selfies that too on an iPhone… their front camera’s image quality has deteriorated a lot since iPhone 6 and although I have several problems I thought I’ll give it a try, I did all my makeup by looking at my reflection in the TV screen cuz I have no mirror, I’ve taped up all kinds of reflective surfaces and I haven’t seen myself since 2017 because of him… cuz I hate myself. I never even got a chance although he was the one who approached me first and asked for my BB pin, he kept liking my pics but I feel like a reject, I feel unwanted like I deserve to die, I have faced a lot of insensitivity, beyond one can imagine & there’s a lot more to the story so don’t jump to conclusions. Didn’t want to bring this up, my life hasn’t been normal since 2015, nothing ever changed things only got worse, I was in a lot of pain (I developed a chronic pain syndrome and I’ve started convulsing too due to all the emotional trauma and stress) I was having severe pain cuz I was standing for half an hour prepping up for the selfies, I realised iPhones have gotten worse now, the back camera is okay… I switch on several lights + increase the brightness when I have to capture something cuz the images are always very dull, the front one’s always been a disappointment, it’s as if they deliberately focus on your flaws instead of all your plus points, so my super high cheekbones were hardly visible (had to use a third party app) but my jaw and cheeks were looking very plump (which was quite discouraging) my face was looking 10 times bigger in size, even with the secondary app/lens all my features including my lips and nose were all looking 12 to 18 x bigger and broader… I’m literally like a minuscule version of what I’ve managed to click, my cheekbones again have been sidelined and my nose bridges (although my nose has become a little smaller compared to how it was when I was 20 cuz girls are also like teenagers in their early 20s but our problems have always been underrated, only guys are called “boys” even after they hit 45 and girls are considered women by the mere age of 15 *shame* on people) anyway my nose bridges and in fact the whole nose is looking way too large, this is exactly why I don’t click selfies, I really wish I could click an actual, proper image…

P.S. My eyes, lips, nose everything is looking very different here… for some reason it’s a bit disproportionate but I’m just sharing this as an “accomplishment” cuz I still managed to click some selfies after 5 long years. I feel the camera has become worse than before, we are all in purgatory… the world did really end in 2012 and things were still better until 2015 :/ but for how long could we hold up?
