why does null cult fit into this story so well and why does it fill so many plot holes? Infuriating.

Alix and Alina talking about Felix, and Alix calling out Alina on why she trusts a Follower when she's perfectly convinced that they are the ones who organized her parents' disappearance (they, along with some others, were the ones who ultimately uncovered Null- who was a statue at the time. Felix' father is currently in posession of it.) Alix assumes that Alina is just befriending Felix' to get more information, and Alina concedes that it's true, but it can also be both that and friendship.

Alix is an ex-follower who became disillusioned after their father took their own life, unable to handle the "truth"- as the "rites" are basically experiancing Nullififcation in a way that grants a vision: most people are given a vision of true nothingness, and are told that it's the true state of the universe and it's inevitable- and the only way to handle it is to become as close to nothingness as possible.

Im still on the fence about how Felix' got to experience his "rites". Perhaps he failed to experience it at all, maybe he saw something different. I've got a lot of ways it can go down that are all equally interesting. "At first, I experienced it.. and then, I saw a cat." or smth idk. too fun.

my headcanon designs for the gang's Cubecraft: Islands characters.

Cubecraft isn't a real part of precanon, it's a "well, what do the kids do for fun? what DO kids do for fun?" and that answer, for me is stuff like Minecraft, or online games like WoW or Runescape. Kids these days play lots of stuff like Roblox, so Cubecraft is a mishmash of these ideas. It's a game about fighting monsters, doing quests and leveling with a side game akin to Minecraft or Stardew Valley.

Marinette : Goblin Tinker (Likes to Build) / Felix : Beastkin Mage (Likes to Roleplay) / Alina: Human Fighter (Likes to do Quests) / Flora: Elf Druid (Likes to Craft and Level Skills) / Alix: Human Fighter (Likes to ???) / Kagami: Beastkin Bard (Likes Combat & PVP)

They delve into other aspects of the game but that's their main goals when playing.
