The Greatest Showman (Part 2) || Still accepting
@moyasuborn asked:  “ you’re here in my heart. ”
Time for her to leave had arrived, much to Nia’s dismay. Visiting him more often in the passing days had been a boon for the mother, but she needed to return to the vessel that could contain the Remnant within her and part away from the young man for a time.
It was easier now; he knew who she was and was constantly reassured of her love for him. That all of her work these long, tiring years had been to reunite with him. There was no making up the lost time, Nia knew that, but she could do everything now for him. Support him in his love, help him realize dreams for the world, anything he wished of her, Nia would immediately do.

As she encroached upon the the Chouginga, the woman halted her steps as she turned to face him. Similar in stature, it was easy to peer into his eyes with motherly affection. “Lio...Any time you want me to visit, just call us, alright? But, with so much time spent down here...”
It was different now. Communication was easier now, but she knew she would have to be locked away in her chambers with Simon. Avant would kill her if the Remnant showed and her husband’s Spiral Energy could make the process easier on her. It would be days before she could talk to Lio again, if not weeks before even attempting to step upon the surface.
“If you need anything, I’ll be here--”
His voice resounded, that tenor that had become so welcoming upon her ear, making her stop. He had gestured to his chest and spoke such soft words, Nia instantly understood the meaning. It had been something instilled when she had departed the world once before, that she would always be with those she loved. “Lio...”
Her words trailed before embracing him once more. A flash of a memory of a confused child in her arms as she sobbed endlessly. But he was no longer a child--a man now, and her tears were not of sorrow. Fleeting in the embrace, Nia shifted herself a half step from him, only to take up Lio’s face in her hands, cradling his cheeks. “Yes, I’m always going to be there, no matter what may happen.”
A breath of relief as she nodded, thumbs stroking the soft skin with admiration. “You’re building a whole new world, but don’t forget to eat plenty and take care of yourself. I’ll check in on you and send Simon down to give you some supplies, if you need them.” Mostly her own grotesque cooking that somehow everyone aboard the ship adored.

Fingers trembled, knowing they had to release him. Nia knew she had to let Lio go again. Slowly shifting, she moved in, pressing a kiss to her child’s forehead, offering years of affection she could not in a single moment. Reluctantly, she managed to pull away, taking a few more steps back towards the ship that would spirit her away from him once more. “Let’s...” Her voice cracked briefly, the emotions overwhelming her. “Let’s plan to meet for lunch in the next few months! I’d love to meet the special people in your life too!”
Every few months and working slowly into his life, nestled directly into his heart. There was no need to rush now, no need to worry. Lio knew how much she loved him, and the mother only planned to offer more of it.
The door opened, and Nia still kept her gaze on him despite moving inside of the ship. “Oh! Lio!” She called, the Chouginga already beginning to rev up and move. “One last thing!” The door was closing, the tumbling locks and head sticking out of the door inhibited by it. A hand lifted to cup around the side of her mouth, to amplify the next words as groaning metal tried to mute her.
“I love you, Lio!”
