THE PATH WEEK 2022!

Day 2 : Favorite Wolf

My favorite wolf is Gingers wolf the Girl in Red! Similarly with Ginger being my favorite of the Red sisters, her being apart of Gingers story is what makes her my favorite.

Here ive drawn her in the flower field shes found in, Spinning/dancing with flowers and barbed wire spiraling around her. The lighting is warm but ive perposly made the shadows colder.

The only things ive changed from her original design is adding the bow at her waist, freakles and the beaded hair-ties, along with making her hair textured with layed edges.

Ive seen a few different interpretations of what she means in the conext of gingers story but honestly i think all of them have the potential to be true. The period allegory with the flowers and the barbed wire makes alot of sense, and ginger running from/not wanting to conform to femininity also makes sense to me, but i do also like the idea that the GiR is someone ginger had a crush on perhaps offering him pads? Either way i dont think that the GiR is bad sure the experience of growing up and puberty can be. But I think that maybe the GiR was the only good part about that to ginger, with growing up comes sexuality, and sexuality becomes friends and partners(or lack there of ofc). While others may find ginger weird or judge them i think the GiR doesnt.

Its stated that ginger is a bit of a loner a lone wolf if you will. But maybe the GiR is their only friend, perhaps the GiR is the only person she feels gets them.

I may be projecting a little bit at the end there but its a nice thought

(side note if i used any terminology wrong specifically about her hair please correct/inform me im fairly certain i got things correct but if i didnt i wont hesitate to fix it : -) )
