♠ thinking bout. The second time Gord gets pouched by mfp Ben

He's gotten over the worst of his fears, and given from what he hears from Ben talking in his head, the entity wants to hold him again. A part of him is unsettle by the idea, but as more time passes, he's less and less opposed.

When he is, once again, tucked away into a more sensitive pouch, he doesn't resist like he did the first go round. Now that Gordn is relaxed and not thrashing, Ben can get a better "look" at him. Instead of tensed muscles, folded limbs, and a racing heartbeat, Gord moves with the motions, letting Ben knead his arms and legs to get a better feel. Gordn presses his hands into the soft flesh, wiggling his fingers, and he nuzzles his face against a wall, already desensitized to the strange sweet voice slime. Ben moves with utmost care, comoletely focused on that form, near microscopic compared to his own body. He can feel how those little limbs bend and move, dexterous hands grasping at him. He's pleased to note the much slower heartbeat and breathing. Gord is much calmer now.

Technically, he doesn't need to "examine" Gord again. He's already formed the mental link with him. But he finds something soothing in it, holding that little form close, feeling the human simply live.

Bonus: future pouch times, if/when Ben and Gord have a romantic bond, Gordn gives a tiny smooch to the inside of a pouch, and all of Ben just stutters to a halt, having not expected the action. Such a massive, magnificent beast, felled with only a little kissy

🍄 very very invested in flesh pit au.

i feel like the idea of ben curiously exploring gordn back when he realizes this little guy in his guts is exploring him. to gordn, it's terrifying - this living being, that has been largely inert until now, is suddenly tensing and folding around him. he didn't think he would be this helpless if the flesh moved under him - but it's impossible for him to get any sort of foothold on the plush flesh as he's slipped deeper, deeper, pushed between slick membranes and into a pouch producing SV.

he's been in Ben a few times before, but he still hasn't gotten used to the pulse of life through the flesh around him, making the walls quiver and the humid air throb with distant, massive heartbeats. now that sensation is pressed right up against his skin, hot and damp and overwhelming. the pouch deforms to cradle him like an exceptionally plush hammock, close on all sides, and as much as he struggles, he can't right himself as he's curiously squeezed and kneaded. never hard enough to hurt, but firm enough that it immobilizes him. SV seeps into his skin, between his lips - his terror is broken by a gentle curiosity that isn't his own.

Ben is very interested in this warm little thing that's traipsed inside him. most things wander in on accident, but this thing came in on purpose. he's cute, and small, and Ben feels something warm bubble up inside him when handling his little form. Ben doesn't want to break him (and he knows it would be so easy, so he has to be careful) - he likes gordn.

He wouldn't mind if gordn stayed.

it's as gordn begins to think maybe he's not going to be digested or crushed to death in this fleshy pocket that a voice begins to worm its way into his head, asking him why he's in here.

Consider:

In the BM fleshpt au, instead of Gord being sent down for general exploration, he’s sent down to collect tissue samples for testing by anomalous materials and biological research.

He’s sent with a team of security guards who’s rounds have been f*cked since Benr was discovered. They’ve been helping with exploration and construction of the new wings within the pit, the only guards exempt from this work are those injured physically or mentally by their excursions into the pit. Benr senses them and they get separated after they’re far too deep to just turn back. Even if they had been closer to the exit, Gord is trapped now.

When he sees one of benr’s bug bois he thinks it’s one of the guards for a moment. Until it moves.

"That's not human that's not human that'S NOT HUMAN THAT'S NOT HUMAN-" once gordn gets cornered he's expecting the end... but then the bug-thing just squeals green light balls at him. and nothing else. which confuses the hell out of him. he also calms down enough from being just so "wait what" abut this situation, that bebn is able to worm his way into gordn's head and get that conversational mental link formed. grats gordn, the subterranean eldritch superorganism that you're currently stuck inside of wants to be your friend!

I love this for many reasons, one being that it further supports my theory that vore writers have all the skills and knowledge to write good horror if they really wanted to but most don’t want to.

Another reason being big monster 👀👀👀👀 protect tiny friends 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

hell yeah vore can be used for good horror. cause like, being eaten alive? realistically? would be fucking terrifying. what a horrible way to go. and then there's stuff like the flesh pit where it's all fantastical sci-fi, and that whole creepy surrealism of walking around inside of some impossibly large living thing. also YES i love.... giant protective monster with comparatively tiny friembs ;a;

OKAY. SO. another dumb cross-over au in which benb takes the role of an entirely different cosmic horror. in this case, a massive subterranean superorganism that a certain research facility found buried in the new mexico desert while they were expanding the underground parts of the facility. here’s some chunks of the discord chat from last night where we had fun brainstorming about this:

S: Consider Benr flesh pit Like thingrey on steroids R: Lol! That's a really fun idea. Like one day Benr wakes up and, ugh what's this thing in his throat? A research facility? The hell? Cuddle: don't you just hate it when you take a long nap and wake up and some micro organisms have turned your innards into a resort. eugh, they're even getting randy in there, grosssss. he feels so violated. R: I mean fair XD Cuddle: "you've been doing what with my bodily fluids??" S: LOL R: In a hlvrai AU, would it be a resort like in the original unfiction? Or Black Mesa? Or both? Cuddle: black mesa, upon expanding the underground parts of the facility, come upon... very clearly living tissue. huh. he's no where NEAR as massive as the MFP, but still big enough that the scientists just can't help but find a way to poke around in there... R: Ah, they found him while trying to dig to the center of the earth. S: Tommy would be ecstatic. Cuddle: theoretically he's 'small' enough for them to dig out, but they're hesitant to, due to the way he's got all his self positioned, any activity from him could cause a lot of damage to the facility. somehow they'd managed to completely avoid running into parts of this giant fleshbeast's body when digging down until now. so yeah, no wakey the underground horror. and since they can't take it out, obviously the logical thing to do here is go in. R: I can't believe Black Mesa is supposed to be the sensible science facility. This sounds like a Cave Johnson move Cuddle: well they're the "sensible" ones in the regular half-life and portal 'verse. not so much in the vrai verse, as we've seen. the pita cutting room. skull grinding facility. vats of radioactive sludge that's allegedly OSHA approved. R: Okay, you're completely right. R: Oh, so do they move the biological research wing down into the Benr section? That would put Tommy in a good place to make contact/be contacted? Maybe Benr starts to wake up and feels something kind of funky. He can't move around or he'll mess up his sweet lil' napping place, so he reaches out with his mind to try to figure out what's what. While he's poking around he accidentally brushes against someone else's mind. Tommy is pretty startled at first, but being the kind of guy he is, he just sort of rolls with it. That's how Benr finds out about BM, and also how he makes his first human adjacent friend. Shit! Well now he really can't move or he'll collapse the facility on Tommy! It's like a high stakes version of having a cat on your lap. Can't move, it's the law. W: I was considering Gordon being one of the people they send into the organic area to explore. Benrey feels something moving about and oh shit! Thats a little dude! Gordon's all kinds of wigged out by entering a living creature, but there's pressure from the higher ups to check it out. Benrey trying to find ways to talk to Gordon tho. Spooks him something good. Cuddle: OH I LIKE THAT. W: Idea! Benrey tries to examine Gordon and the human panics thinking he's been trapped by automatic functions. Slips into a weird pouch with more sensitive surface tissue and Benrey just studies him right back . Benrey doesn't have any Amorphous Shame or anything going on, but perhaps he has these strange things he refers to as Josh and Jefferem. Cuddle: pfffff or wait WAIT some kind of chitinous endoparasites like the abyssal copepods... but they look weirdly humanoid and also skeletal at a glance. flesh pit ben's version of his skeleton friends. W: Gordon finds one in a resting state and panics bc he thinks its a dead guy. Cuddle: but then it moves and "oh fuck that's a weird fucking bug-thing" W: Would they be independent entities or would they have some sort of mind link w Benrey. Im picturing it like. Benrey observes as Gordon travels through him, then gets an idea and signals the creatures to guide Gordon somewhere. Scares the hell out of the human, they end up kind of having to chase and corral him the way he needs to go. Cuddle: oh man, i like that less parasites, more symbiotes! Cuddle: i figure benrey being MUCH smaller [than the OG pit], he takes notices of these tiny critters [the researchers] much more easily (and also he's not straight-up asleep like the og pit). just chillin'! well maybe he was asleep at first, but then woke up when black mesa started poking around. he just didn't immediately start moving. W: Benrey gets tired of BMesa BS and either warms Gordon and friends to leave, or he calls them to come deeper into his body so he can shelter them. And then he moves. Burrows his way out, or uses reality breaking to leave. Either way, there's now kind of a massive chasm where he used to be! That entire facility on top of him is in pretty bad shape, no stability left. Cuddle: another thing to think about with this flesh pit benrey: colours [image: a notice sign from the MFP blog that reads "PROLONGED SKIN CONTACT WITH NERVOUS TISSUE MAY RESULT IN AN INCREASED COLOR PERCEPTION RANGE. THIS EFFECT IS TEMPORARY AND OFTEN DISSIPATES IN 8 TO 10 HOURS."] W: The amniotic fluid is replaced with SweetVoice. Cuddle: NICE. doesn't make you horny, but gives you VERY strong emotions. sometimes ones that aren't even yours! (they're his) pink sweet voice is the kind they harness to put into that valentine soda :P R: Well Darnold would know all about that. Holy crap there is actually a legit reason for a mixology department. Cuddle: YES in which darnold also knows how to read the sweet voice, cause he works with it so much! W: Consider Gordon losing his fear of the pit as Benrey communicates with him BM scientists can't perceive Benreys communication methods, they think Gordon is hallucinating. When they work out that Benrey is sapient, they think Gordon has been brainwashed or controlled. After all, who would willingly reenter that place. Cuddle: also thinking about how benrey could have a 'human' form.... maybe he can like, mesh some of himself with one of his skelebug guys, and shape it into a human (on the outside at least) form. can interact with the humans through this small piece of him, while the rest of him is still underground. W: Adding on to this idea. Gordon running for his life, unwittingly headed the way Benrey intended, and then he slips and falls into a pouch full of liquid. He's terrified that it's acid and enzymes, but then the liquid turns a deep blue, and he just goes boneless. Now that he's directly in a pouch that produces SweetVoice, Benrey can work on communicating with him. (It was suggested that Benrey had already managed to speak to Tommy, mind to mind. Maybe Tommy is far more sensitive to such things than Gordon, and thus Gordon needs a little work to establish communication) W: nother follow-up thought. Benrey's escape was not the most subtle thing. Anyone who witnesses it is terrified it means the world is ending. Then he just vanishes. BM is losing their shit, how do you lose an eldritch superorganism. Lucky for them he's not bent on armageddon, he just wants to vibe with his new friends.

I am a fool and forgot my own point in writing the previous ask.

The scientists begin to speculate gord’s enthusiasm for his grunt work in the fleshpt to be because he had been successfully brainwashed! (And was the only one to be successfully brainwashed… brilliant deductions)

Much debate went around the departments, especially biological research as their experiments were almost all centered around the pt now, about what to do with gord. Should they let him keep going into the fleshpt? Should he be kept under observation to prevent possible assimilation? Is the mind control permanent?

The speculation ended with gord being captured and kept under observation, instigating an eventual escape plot.

Consider:

The other BM scientists don’t suspect anything is amiss right away when Gord returns the first time. Mostly their glad to not loose another “explorer”, but they become more curious when gord’s enthusiasm towards working in the fleshpt continues to grow.

Benr probably wouldn’t stop trying to reach out with gord, he’s just cracked to code for communicating with these little humans and he wants to make friends please and thank you. Of course, not too many people are keen on a giant creature projecting thoughts into their brain. After one too many stories from guards of the pt speaking into their minds the scientists realize it is no coincidence… However, instead of seeing it as genuine attempts at communication most immediately assume the worst: the pt is attempting to control and possibly assimilate people.

(They also begin to wrongly speculate that those strangely humanoid bugs are an end result of this assimilation process.)

🍄 ohh i LOVE the idea of gordn being a stim toy for ben

gord just goes limp in bens hold, and the surrounding flesh rolls against him, pressing in close. ben idly kneads at him as his mind wanders. gord could nearly drift off to sleep like this, if he weren't being moved around so much. having gord's little form in his grasp completely enraptures ben, it's all he can focus on. if ben is ever in a bad mood, holding gord immediately brightens it. meanwhile gord feels like a ragdoll, but he doesn't mind it. the calm blue helps keep him relaxed, and he drifts in and out of awareness as he gives ben comfort just by letting himself be gently handled. he can feel just how much stronger ben is, how it would be effortless to crush him, but instead, ben just gently kneads, his insides the most comfortable bed gord's ever known.

Just thinking about the juxtaposition of Gord's situation, realizing he's made contact with a sapient being. There's excitement to encounter non-human sapience and establish contact and learn about each other, all the stuff scientists dream of! But there's also the fact said being is a superorganism that very easily overpowered Gord and could do so again with no issue if it wanted to, next time even hurt him on purpose or accidentally. Very intimidating.

yyyyep. which is why it's all the sweeter that this big abomination cares about him and very much doesn't want to cause him harm :)

♠ actually i was thinking on that. Gordn's return

He's released from the pouch unharmed, but he's in a daze. The hours that passed while he was examined by the super organism feel fake, like some twisted dream. He stumbles his way along until he's recovered by BM workers. Not quite a search party. When he had been trapped within dense organic matter, his signal had been smothered, and with no read on his location, he was assumed dead. Now that he's found alive, they want to know what happened. What sort of information he might have gained.

With all that happened, the panic run and chase, being held immobile for so long, and the flood of SweetVoice keeping him docile, he's in a zombie like state when they find him. He's taken back to the facility and held in quarantine, giving him time to recover before they question him on what happened.

Ben feels a littke bad, he had tried to be gentle, but he had strained Gords mind in his excitement. The entity calls out to Tom, and Tom agrees to make sure he gets better.

Tom is the one at his side when Gordn finally snaps out of it.

Gord starts making confused statements, and then he tells Tom "it's alive. It's aware."

Tom's eyes widen, and he realizes that Ben had succeeded in finally forming a link and communicating with a regular human. Ben had been trying to talk to Gordo in the time he was missing, and it had worked.

Tom does his best to assure Gord that he's not crazy, bit also maybe don't tell the BM officials about that. Both for Gords sake and Ben's sake.

Gordn at least has someone to help him come to terms with the voice in his head, and he and Tom form a quick friendship (Ben is delighted, his friends are friends with each other)

Once Gord has a better understanding if what happened, yeah, he's less hesitant to return to the organic caverns. BM is satisfied that he can keep working, and some how better than any of the others who enter. And Ben is delighted to have him every time.

Benr might not physically purr, to avoid raising questions, but he does emanate a happy rumbly mental vibe when ever Gordn is within him.

Consider:

Benr keeps gord long enough that people suspect he died. He only lets gord leave when gord finds enough courage to ask him.

Gord promises to come back, not only as a bargaining tool to get Benr to let him go but also because he’s recognized Benr isn’t going to hurt him and is still so curious to get to know more about him.

not every day you meet another sapient being that's an entirely different species from your own!
