Magi needs more Love again!!

Since it has been quite a long time since Magi ended, I always feel quite empty. Nothing can ever conquer my intense love for this Series and I decided to do some stuff again every now and then between work and other things that are going on in my life. I bet tons of people have already translated the Magi Encyclopedia, but I’m just gonna pick stuff I personally want to try to scan and translate, as a humble peasant who is studying japanese all by her lonesome. So mistakes will probably occur but I will try my best! That said, let’s go go!! Of course I will start with some Sinbad stuff, cause I’m a Sin Hoe.

The full body Djinn Equip that is completely clad in scales.

The whole body is covered in scales

It’s characteristics are the whole body being covered in scales and the tail of a dragon. According to Yunan, the tail is very fluffy.

The Djinn that resides in the sword - Baal

With a grumpy face, Baal is the blue dragon that manipulates Lightning.

The sword of Sin’s father Badr breaks during an adventure and he is now using a different one.

Magi Trivia

For anyone not having noticed this and only have seen the anime or never read Sinbad no Bouken, here’s some short Trivia!

The sword Sin is using after Sinbad no bouken ends and Magi starts is a completely different sword. That is because the sword of Badr was broken during the Arc of the destruction of Sindria 1.0 in Volume 17 of Sinbad no Bouken.

Barbarossa used the power of his Djinn ( Glasya-Labolas (グラシャラボラス)) to destroy the Metal Vessels of Serendine and Sinbad.

general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would banghogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuffbest quality: I’d have to say his willpower. Had he not had that, then he wouldn’t have gotten as far as he has. I also think his ability to get up every time he’s knocked down is quite admirable.worst quality: His inability to share the burden with other people and thus shoulders everything himself.ship them with: The list is too long… Some of my top ones are RaSin, SinJu, SinYu, BarbSin, SinSeren and recently I’ve grown fond of SinAli.brotp them with: This differs a lot. in SnB, there’s no doubt it’s Ja’far, but in Magi, I’m not sure. Probably Masrur or Yunan?needs to stay away from: David, Arba, Falan and Barbarossa (or anyone stroking his ego too much). misc. thoughts: Baby deserved so much better ;w; I used to have a headcanon that he had forgotten Badr’s face, but Magi flashbacks proved me wrong.

If it was a choice, I’d say good on him for not letting someone else suffer. I also like that you’re never really sure if he’s genuine or trolling, unless he pulls one of his serious faces.worst quality: His failure to guide Sinbad and failing to let him know that time in the dungeon is not the same as the time in the real world.ship them with: Sinbad and Muu.brotp them with: Scheherazade.needs to stay away from: Heartbreak.misc. thoughts: As much as I feel sorry for him, and I do, and as much as I understand his motivation, which I also do, I think he’s an awful person. He sends Sinbad inside Baal while Esra is sick, knowing that he could return when she’s already dead, but he doesn’t tell him that. Sinbad then doesn’t see him for two years where they meet up in Sasan and Yunan is just being vague and starting to call Sinbad old, instead of actually telling him anything he needs to know. Sinbad hasn’t seen him since the Sasan arc, but I would like to point out, that Yunan does seem to follow him around, so he knows what’s going on right now in SnB.

Kouha

It was actually much of a surprised when I first watched he anime, because I had only really seen him making scary faces.worst quality: That same love is also a flaw, as it leads him to rush into battle without thinking, causing him to break his arm.ship them with: Meihou or Junjun.brotp them with: Kouen, Koumei, Aladdin and Kougyoku.needs to stay away from: Hakuryuu.misc. thoughts: Can’t really think of anything.
