Part One

Based on The Script - Nothing, it was a idea I had when I sat in the car, and it’s been in my WIP for a few weeks. Part Two is also finished so I’ll post that if anyone wants it. Enjoy.

You couldn’t be without him, how could I just let him walk out like that? Not even a last ‘I love you.’ You just let him go. You just stood there and watched him slam that door and leave. You have never regretted anything more than you do now. Everything felt so strange and sad without him. You needed him like you needed air. Not like, even more than you needed.
Your best friends were currently dragging you to a bar in the city.
“Don’t be a downer, Y/N," Leah said to you, smiling. "You're better off without him.” But you could sense he was lying, and you thought she knew it too.
“maybe a few drinks will help you forget him?” You heard Becca say, stopping you from frowning at Leah's words.
“Yeah maybe.” You say, pulling a forced smile as you walked into the bar following the others.
“I miss him so much! How could I just let him go? How more stupid can I get?” You wailed as you emptied your gin glass. You were now more than just tipsy and all you could think, see, and talk about was him.
His striking blue eyes, his bright smile that made you happy whenever you saw it, his perfect hair.
His perfect, everything.
“You need to slow down on the gin," Leah said. “Maybe, if you find a rebound or something it will help you get over him.” She said, clearly thinking it was time to move on from Dec. But you just couldn’t. He was the love of your life.
"I don't want a guy," you said sarcastically.
“I want Declan”. You spoke, before getting up and swaying out of the bar.
You just ran. Shouting Declan all the time. You could tell the girls were trying to catch up after you, but it didn’t matter. The only thing that matters is to get to Declan.
The girls were getting closer to you, yelling “Y/N! Wait!” after me.
“I can’t,” You yelled, finally giving them some acknowledgement. “I got to get to Declan”
The girls finally got to you after you slowed down. Your feet were already hurting from flinging your heels in the bush.
“Let me go!” You yelled as you thrashed in Becca’s arms to be released “I can change his mind! I swear!”
“Y/N! You’re drunk. You can’t just show up there and make him listen to you when you’re like this.” Leah told me sternly.
“I don’t care!” You yell, still thrashing against Rebecca's strong grip. “He’ll listen to me. If not, I just need to tell him that I love him one last time.”
“so, just call him, Y/N” Becca whispered in your ear "Maybe he'll pick up”
“He’s not picking up.” You grumbled. You tried throughout the day but nothing.
You took your phone out to prove a point as you called him.
One ring, two rings, three and four ringss later, and itwas directedt to his voice mail.
You sighed and hung up and started to run, this time hailing a cab down and leaving the girls standing there.
You climbed into the taxi and proceeded to tell the taxi driver all about your argument with Declan. You pulled into the street you knew all too well.
“STOP” You yell, as the taxi driver braked sharply. “Oops sorry, I’ll get out here.” You say, wanting to keep the house a secret.
"Are you sure?" the taxi driver asked.
You nodded as you paid the taxi and stumbled out, still barefoot, you started to walk up the street towards the house you loved. All you could think about was the memories you shared together.
When the two met, the first kiss, the first date, the first ‘I love you’, the first time. Even the first fight. Everything.
It just helped you realise just how much you loved him, just how much you couldn’t let him go. He was the love of your life and you were planning on letting him know that.
You stumbled to his door. Knocked several times loudly, nothing.
“Dec, Dec, Declan! Declan” You repeatedly banged against the wooden door that was holding you up at this point.
Nothing
You finally let your legs collapse beneath you as you fell against his door and let the tears fall, which you had been holding in all day.
Stop loving him? How could you do that? You couldn’t imagine your life without him, and you knew you couldn’t spend another minute like this, you needed him back.
He was everything.
You took your phone out of your jacket and dialed him. No answer, you hung up and then it was a vicious circle of you calling, hanging up and calling again.
You weren’t thinking straight, and you couldn’t see through the tears that was streaming down your face, with the mascara staining your cheeks.
You called him again, and then…You got something.
You heard the line cut off, you were about to hang up again but you could hear him down the phone.
“Dec?” You said shakily, unsure.
There was what felt like a long silence before you heard his voice.
There was a long pause and then,
“Y/N?”
