Fausto’s big scene, you guys.  I need to do this and do it right, because every last one of you who reads this book has to either love this man and sympathize with him to the point of tears and undying devotion, or you’ve got to hate him with the blazing fire of a thousand supernovas.  There can’t be any in between.
