LOL thanks for the long reply. I disagree on Harry's rising tho. his hair is not curly but messed up, and I dont know as much astrology as you, but i know how certain risings makes me feel. I have North Node scorpio and they have always intrigued me, but Harry never did. Scorpio rising had a certain "lacking and oppressed" inner energy about them even if they are never abused or face pain in life. The way Harry WAS abused and pressured but kinda just knew it and recited it to us and never viewed that as something heavy like it should be. The way people think Harry SHOULD be more traumatised, but he isnt, is the mark of Aquarius rising, and the good things about healthy versions. They make anything negative LOOK lighter because they arent the deeply emotional and tortured Scorpio is. (Harry is but that's his Leo sun)

GINNY is more likely to be Scorpio rising because she had that "being held back" energy earlier when she was shy and always hiding (her h4 Aquarius do talk about Harry at home a lot lol), but later her Leo sun shines in public conjunct her MC, and i have always had a crush on her lol. Hinny is a good couple in their risings.

I spoke to @danpuff-ao3 about this a while ago and basically realised that every single one of us (unless using rectification methods, and even then, it's iffy) has a way of looking at the world, and we're meant to perceive (through the Ascendant, for example, or the other personal placements) the world. While talking to Danni, we shared our findings of Ascendants, but for some reason or the other, we couldn't agree with the other. We laughed and moved on.

I have Scorpio in my 3H (supposed to be my close-knit friend group, and people I can relate to easily). I never properly connected to a Scorpio in my life the way I vibed with Libra, or any other sign. So, above all the Timelord thing with Harry, Uranus (lightning) conjunct his Ascendant, Jupiter conjunct his MC (being seen as lucky), Pisces (enmeshment) 4th house (enmeshed families that stifle individuality and freedom, feeling called to sacrifice when it comes to safety/home), Moon in 4th (comfort from the idea of family), etc, I trusted my gut as well. The same as Danni and you, I experienced Harry differently. I couldn't find it in myself to sympathise with Harry's childhood (while I could understand Severus' and Voldemort's). It made sense that he'd be a Scorpio rising to me.

I haven't yet shed all my biases to say that I've actually rectified these charts with the highest objectivity (eg, my reservation of Aqua rising for bullies 💀). And even if I could, people connect to characters differently so a Character's chart can't ever truly be rectified to fulfillment. So, I ended up using the chart Rowling gave us.

I've never thought about Ginny (besides agreeing that I do ship her with Harry in the Het sense) but awww, you had a crush on her!

Just from their rising? Oh, Aquarius and Scorpio usually make Squares but maybe they share something more harmonious. Actually, even if it squares, it brings more spice.

Speaking of spice, Ginny's Sun and Mercury are almost exactly conjunct with Harry's North Node. Oh yes, she was his destiny, and it was spice. Lol, I already shipped them before but they are cute in compatibility.

If you've noticed (TL;DR), in true mutable fashion, I've let you know that I'm biased towards Aqua risings so MAYBE Harry could be one (he doesn't have weird teeth, though, does he?).
