Virtual Library Opens Inside Minecraft To Share Banned News Stories

Reporters Without Borders has found an entirely new way of distributing banned journalism from some of the world's most repressive countries: Minecraft.

The advocacy group has launched a new virtual space on a dedicated server for the game of video that is popularly known as "The Uncensored Library," accessible to any of Minecraft's 145 million monthly users.

The library will feature news stories that were censored in the country of their origin that are influenced by the neoclassical architectures of the past of Rome and Greece.

The Uncensored Library is a new virtual library in Minecraft, created in part by Reporters Without Borders to host the work of journalists that are banned or censored in their home countries

The library will feature stories from five countries which are near the bottom of Reporters Without Borders’ World Press Freedom Index. Balonium.com These include Egypt, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

The stories will be published in English as well as in the original language they were written in.

The text of the stories can't be edited or altered however anyone who has access to the Minecraft server hosting the library can read the stories.

The project is backed by a number of prominent journalists who have had their work or that of someone they loved removed from publication. They include Nguyen Van Dai, a Vietnamese blogger, Yulia Berezovskaia, and Hatice Cengiz, who was the fiancee of Jamal Khashoggi, the murdered journalist.

Websites are blocked, independent news outlets are banned, and the press is controlled by the state. Young people are unable form their own opinions as they get older.

By using Minecraft the world's most played computer game as an instrument, we grant players access to information from independent sources.'

To start with, the library will feature the work of journalists that are banned in five countries, including Egypt, Vietnam, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico

The library was built by 16 people using more than 125 million blocks. They were inspired by the neoclassical architecture of ancient Rome and Greece

The library is currently supported by prominent journalists from around the world such as Vietnamese blogger Nguyen Van Dai, Russian journalist Yulia Berezovskaia, and Hatice Cengiz, who was fiancee the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Reporters Without Borders joined forces with DDB German, BlockWorks design studio, and Media Monks production company to create The Uncensored Library

The stories will be available in both English and the language they were originally published in, and the readers cannot alter or edit the text in any way

The virtual opening of the library coincided with World Day Against Cyber Censorship. This annual observance was initiated in 2008 by Reporters Without Borders and Amnesty International.

The Library was built by 24 'builders' from 16 countries, using the equivalent of 125 million blocks. It features a large central rotunda that measures 984 feet wide.

The project was the result of a partnership between Reporters Without Borders, the creative agency DDB German, design studio BlockWorks and the production company Media Monks.

Mohammad bin Salman: Lawsuit against Saudi crown prince dismissed after Biden administration recommended he is given immunity | CNN Politics

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Saudi Arabia’s crown prince after the Biden administration recommended he be granted immunity in the case brought against him by the fiancée of murdered Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Judge John Bates said in an opinion that despite his “uneasiness,” the US government told the DC District Court that Prince Mohammed bin Salman is immune since he also holds the title of prime minister and so he is “entitled to head of state immunity.”

That unease was not only due to the prince’s involvement in Khashoggi’s murder, the judge wrote, but also the timing of his appointment as prime minister of Saudi Arabia. Bin Salman, known as MBS, was only made prime minister – and therefore the technical head of the government – in late September in what observers saw as a ploy to secure head of government immunity in the lawsuit brought by Hatice Cengiz and Khashoggi’s advocacy group DAWN.

Bates noted the “suspicious timing” of the prince’s appointment and the plaintiffs’ argument that until now, only the king was the country’s prime minister.

“A contextualized look at the [Saudi] Royal Order thus suggests that it was not motivated by a desire for bin Salman to be the head of government, but instead to shield him from potential liability in this case,” Bates wrote.

At the fourth anniversary of the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents in Istanbul, Turkey was criticised for closing the murder case and handing the investigation to Saudi Arabia.

“Today is the anniversary of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi on our land. They returned the file of this case to those [in Saudi Arabia] who slaughtered Khashoggi alive in Turkey … . We will not forget those who brought this shame to Turkey!,” Yunus Emre, a Turkish lawmaker with the main opposition Republican People’s Party, CHP wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

Hatice Cengiz, Khashoggi’s Turkish fiancé, also shared her dismay. “He was killed in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul four years ago today. His killers are still free. We still don’t know where his body is,” Cengiz wrote on Twitter.

Khashoggi was murdered by Saudi agents inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul when he visited the building to arrange his marriage papers in 2018.

Hanan El Khashoggi, the first wife of the murdered journalist, urged the Turkish authorities to hand over any evidence to her.

“The Turkish government has been clear that it does not intend to proceed with either the investigation into my husband’s murder or the trial. It should therefore hand over any evidence still in its hands to me. As the only wife of Jamal upon his death, I want all parties to be held accountable for my husband’s murder,” El Khashoggi wrote on Sunday in an opinion article in the UK Guardian.

Omer Faruk Gergerlioglu, a senior human rights activist and a lawmaker with pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party, HDP, said that they will continue to protest over the Turkish government’s decision to hand the case over to Saudi Arabia.

“Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi Arabian consulate and his file was given to the Saudi Arabian authorities – unbelievably. Liver was delivered to the cat – and we absolutely do not accept this, and will protest here every week,” Gergerlioglu said in the Turkish parliament on Friday.

Reporters Without Borders, RSF, also condemned the actions of both Turkey and Saudi Arabia and said such crimes against journalists should not be tolerated.

“Since Jamal Khashoggi’s assassination in 2018 and the subsequent botched trials of his killers in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, it has become clear that no accountability will be achieved in these countries,” the Middle East Desk at RSF said.

“Other prosecution and accountability mechanisms are more urgent than ever. This is why RSF is pursuing new avenues of legal recourse in other jurisdictions, to ensure justice for Khashoggi but also a clear signal that impunity for such heinous crimes against journalists will not be tolerated anywhere,” it added.

Turkey previously took a tougher stance on the Khashoggi case. But a change in tone came when Turkey wanted to repair relations with Saudi Arabia.

According to some observers, Saudi Arabia’s precondition for this improvement in ties was transfer of the Khashoggi case.

In 2019, a Saudi court sentenced five men to death and three to different prison terms for Khashoggi’s murder but the death sentences were later commuted to prison terms after Khashoggi’s son pardoned his father’s murderers.

Since the murder and international outcry, Saudi authorities have claimed that Khashoggi was killed by a rogue execution team without the knowledge of top Saudi officials – a claim dismissed by experts and human rights organisations.

How Saudi Arabia is changing football in the Northeast 

In the beginning of 2022 Newcastle had succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the league one outfit Carlisle United and the doom was beginning to show on every Newcastle supporter. What was to love? They were joint last in the table only a point separated them from the Newly promoted Norwich and they were two points adrift of Watford and there just seemed to be no way out for Newcastle fans who under the ownership at the time saw nothing but mediocrity from the boardroom to the football pitch. But what they did not know was that a certain country from the Middle East were waiting to pounce and that was Saudi Arabia.

So, let's have a quick rundown of Saudi Arabia ranging from the attractions in the capital Riyadh to their human rights violations.

Riyadh is a growing city in the heart of Saudi Arabia. It offers an abundance of remarkable architectural wonders, such as the kingdom tower centre and the intricately designed Al Rahji mosque where you can experience the beautiful designs inside. In addition to these attractions, Riyadh is home to multiple historian sites such as the Al Masmak place, Murabba Historical place, At Turaif World Heritage site and the Salwa palace. This city embodies opulence, making it a haven for affluent tourists and residents alike.

The company Amnesty international has recorded cases that aren’t visible to the public eye. The Saudi Arabian government would not exactly be advocates for human rights let me put it like that, as they have been found guilty of torturing its own citizens even when they lack an arrest warrant. Unseen by many is Saudi Arabia’s score for freedom of expression and belief which according to freedom house ranks amongst the worst in the world. 

What you also don’t see is how a famous Saudi Arabian journalist by the name of Jamal Khashoggi who suddenly died after entering the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul back in 2018 for being a known critic of the king bin Salmans regime back in his home country. He initially entered the consulate to obtain a Saudi document stating that he was divorced so that he could marry his new Turkish fiancee Hatice Cengiz but he never came out with his wife standing outside the consulate without knowing her husband to be was being brutally murdered by Saudi internationals . To make matters worse they initially denied any involvement in the murder saying that they had “nothing to hide “  but then later said that their deputy public prosecutor Shalaan Al Shalaan ordered their negotiations team to get on a flight to turkeys capital Istanbul and bring back Khashoggi to Saudi Arabia by “means of persuasion or if they wasn’t able to successfully convince him use “force” to get him over to the country. This represents merely a fraction of the extensive human rights violations that impact millions on a daily basis and unfortunately the Saudi government have been involved in these atrocities.

King bin Salman is the crown prince and prime minster of Saudi Arabia whilst he also serves as the chairman of economic and developmental affairs, whilst not forgetting he’s the head of political and security affairs. However, what u might be aware of is that King bin Salman is also the head of the public investment fund (PIF) who own 80% of Newcastle United football whilst also playing a pivotal role in shaping the worldwide image of Saudi Arabia. They invest in multiple sports such as football through Newcastle United , Al- Ahli , Al - Ittihad , Al Hilal and Al Nassr whilst also playing a role in funding Al- Ettifaq they are also involved in the golf scene with the PGA tour as well as hosting formula one events and they have also invested in boxing events , with them hosting multiple high profile fights in the capital , Riyadh.

So when you compare Riyadh a thriving city in Saudi Arabia with all the money at their fingertips and a city on the decline like Newcastle who have an unemployment and child poverty at one of the highest rates in the country as well as having the lowest life expectancy of any city in the United Kingdom , Saudi Arabia investing in the club as well as the city of Newcastle it begins to make more sense from a financial point of view , they’ve clearly looked at this project as a low risk and high reward just because the city isn’t in the best shape when you compare it to the likes of London, Liverpool, Leeds or Manchester and we’ve seen what the UAE have done with the city of Manchester they’ve completely turned it around giving the area around the Etihad stadium a completely different look as opposed to what it looked like in the process creating thousands of jobs , this is what the Saudis are potentially trying to create. This sentiment was backed by then director Majed Al-Sorour who said “very soon we will turn to the city and the area together and make them better “.

PIFs Takeover

The PIFs takeover of Newcastle United was highly controversial due to the number of human rights breaches that the country has faced and if the money was being directly funded by the Saudi government. But since the takeover it’s been a new lease of life for the fans on the black and white side of County Durham, they’ve been used to a stingy owner by the name of Mike Ashley who would hardly spend a penny on the club in terms of infrastructure and transfers. I recently spoke to a Newcastle fan and he described Ashley as an Owner who came across like “Newcastle fans were never his priority” and that “Newcastle was an afterthought for him” it was clearly a “sad time for the club “ who went through 2 relegations in 2009 and 2016 because of years of mismanagement , transfers were also a topic of debate because up  until 2019 , Micheal Owen whom they brought from Real Madrid for £17million In 2005 was their record purchase and when you put that into perspective by 2019 football had seen multiple world record transfers and to make matters worse Owen was 7 years retired by this time.

Even if Amanda Staveley says that “it’s not sports washing its investment” we can clearly see that the Saudi government has decided to invest in Newcastle football club as well as invest in the city of Newcastle so that they can change the way the image of their country is perceived around the world. Despite, Staveley's denial of Newcastle's takeover being a sports washing project, king bin Salaman said in September that "If sport swashing is going to increase our GDP, we'll continue sport swashing, I do not care”. This clearly shows that he hears the accusations but if his country can increase their economic status, he could not care less about what people say.

British media outlets are yet to hear have yet to hear from any Newcastle directors or even the chairman himself. This uncooperative approach creates and uncomfortable situation for Eddie Howe who I am sure just wants to talk about how things are going on the pitch and not about Saudi Arabia’s troubling human rights records as well as their absence of woman’s rights and their intolerance of LGBTQ rights. Howe's unlikely to erase the memory of the post-match press conference at Chelsea in May 2022, amid a flurry of questions form expectant journalist who chose to ask him questions about the executions of 81 men in Saudi Arabia Howe replied by saying “ I’m going to stick to talking about football that’s I’m all I’m concerned with”, that’s a worrying answer by someone who if he had spoken out on the regime would have sent a powerful message to the owners and everyone who feels it’s okay to violate other people’s human rights.

With LGBTQ + , several human rights violations and restrictions against women hanging on the country many Newcastle fans have attempted to distance themselves from the Saudi regime , some were going as far as saying that they “support the badge not I don’t support the Saudi national badge , I don’t support the PIF badge” and “I support Newcastle United I don’t support a regime “. It’s hard to draw a line in terms of what to do because on one hand you want to support your club and realistically, you’re not in control of who chooses to invest in your club so in this situation can you really blame the fans for doing what they have been doing all their lives?

Despite, all the controversy surrounding the takeover, the takeover has taken Newcastle to new heights that they would have never fathomed, as big money signings such as Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimarães from Real Sociedad and Lyon respectively have lit up St. James park with their goalscoring and creativity something that has not been seen in front of the Geordies for a long time. The signings haven’t disappointed for the Newcastle faithful so far and you would have to owe that to the staff involved with bringing players in, because they could have Easily got it wrong, by singing players on big wages, they’ve decided to be meticulous in who they bring to the football club.

 Eddie Howe has also brought in the possession base football that made him so sought after whilst in charge of Bournemouth. it’s got the fans of their seat unlike in previous seasons. The fans are happy with what they’re seeing from the former Bournemouth manager with some even saying that “bringing in Eddie Howe right at the start was one of the best decisions” , this shows just how much of a brilliant job he’s done at the club considering the position in the table that Newcastle were in when he was appointed and what he inherited with the players at his disposal. He was always highly rated at his former club because of the football he played, and he’s brought that along with him to the northeast even after reluctantly selling his star player Allan St. Maximin who carried the club through that barren spell for many years 

In addition to that for first time since 2000 they are playing in the in Europe’s premier competition , the champions league after an impressive Premier league campaign in which they finished 4th with a grand total of 71 points their highest ever points tally since the 2001-2002 season. Keep in mind that this was Eddie Howe’s first full season in charge so as a consequence they will be facing the likes of AC Milan and Paris St. Germain as well as Bourissa Dortmund but I’m sure they aren’t complaining as they’ve not had any star quality teams visit the northeast in 20 years. Even the fans are ecstatic with one fan even saying “it’s fantastic , it’s like a dream , I’m not speaking for every Newcastle fan but the majority and I mean a massive majority of the people I’ve spoken to and the people I know and that go to the matches with have the same view as me , it’s absolutely tremendous “ .  You can just tell that all they wanted was for the good times to start rolling back in the northeast.

Off the pitch though you the takeover has had a positive impact on the employees at the club and the fans with their fans theirs a real sense of togetherness . One of the positive moves that the new owners have made were their dedication to start compensating both permanent and casual staff beyond the minimum wage of 9.90 per hour to 10.90 per hour which will have significantly improved the morale amongst any employees who may have felt undervalued under the previous ownership. These moves made by the new Saudi ownership shows how they’re trying to change the club's way of handling business after years of mistreating their employees which included cost cutting, reducing employee benefits and at times divisional managerial strategies. 

The Reuben’s who also own a part stake in Newcastle have plans to improve the city with a new HMRC office named Pilgrims Corner , plus the regeneration of the Monument Mall and the central arcade and they’re working in close proximity with Newcastle city council to improve the look of the city which is one of the positives that comes from the Saudis taking over. The Reuben’s have been backed up by Sir John Hall a former majority owner of Newcastle United who said that he’s “been impressed” and that the Reuben’s are “good developers” plus they’re doing a “major redevelopment of the city centre”.  This will only better the opinions of the Saudi and the Reuben’s brother as well as reinforcing that the takeover was one of the best things to happen to the club even when you put into consideration the controversy that’s come with the takeover in regard to the human rights violations and the lack of the LGBTQ + rights.

Summary

Overall, there’s always going to be good and bad reasons as to why this takeover should happen and why it should not happen it’s a classic case of you can’t please everybody because somebody will always have an opposite opinion to yours. What you need to look at is the fact that the north east of England which has been neglected for so many years is being revamped which only creates opportunities for the residents living there and the football fans of Newcastle will get their joy back which had been stolen from them for so many years under the ownership of former sports direct owner Mike Ashley. On the other hand , you cannot choose to be oblivious to the atrocities that many humans beings face just because they either choose to speak out against the regime or identify with being apart of the LGBTQ + community or their involvement in the various murders the most prominent one being Jamal Khashoggi it doesn’t matter what the Saudis do we must also hold them accountable for their human rights violations whilst respecting what they’re doing for the city of Newcastle.

To start with, the library will include the work of journalists who are banned in five countries, which include Egypt, Vietnam, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico

The library was designed by 16 people using 125 million blocks and inspired by the neoclassical architecture of ancient Rome and Greece

The library is currently backed by prominent journalists from around the world, including Vietnamese blogger Nguyen van Dai, Russian journalist Yulia Berezovskaia, and Hatice Cengiz, who was fiancee the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Reporters Without Borders joined forces with DDB German, BlockWorks design studio and Media Monks production company to create The Uncensored Library

The stories will be available in English in addition to the original language they were originally published in. The users are not able to alter or modify the text in any way.

The library's virtual opening was timed to coincide with World Day Against Cyber Censorship the annual celebration which was first observed in 2008 as a partnership between Amnesty International and Reporters Without Borders.

The Library was built by 24 "builders" from 16 countries with 125,000,000 blocks. It is a massive central Rotunda that measures 984 feet in diameter.

The project was the result of a partnership between Reporters Without Borders, the creative agency DDB German, design studio BlockWorks and the production company Media Monks.

ATSO’dan Antalya Ekonomisine Yeni İhracat Pazarları

ATSO Başkanı Ali Bahar ve Varşova Ticaret Odası (WIG) Başkanı Marek Traczyk, Antalya ve Polonya iş dünyasının uluslararası bağlarını güçlendirmeyi, ihracatçılarımıza yeni kapılar açmayı içeren iş birliği sözleşmesine imza attı. Polonya-Antalya ekonomisinin geliştirilmesi için Varşova Ticaret Odası (WIG) ile ikili iş birliklerinin artırılması amacıyla düzenlenen program kapsamında, Antalyalı ve Polonyalı iş insanları arasına ticaret köprüsü kurulması için protokol imzalandı. Başkan Ali Bahar, Başkan Yardımcısı Boğaçhan Göksu ve Varşova Ticaret Odası Başkanı Marek Traczyk, Varşova Ticaret Odası Denetim Kurulu Başkanı Marcin Zamoyski’nin imza attığı iş birliği anlaşması ile iki ülke ticaretine ilişkin etkinlikler gerçekleştirilecek. ANLAŞMALAR AKTİF HALE GELECEK Yönetim olarak Antalya iş dünyasının uluslararası bağlarını güçlendirmeyi, ihracatçılara yeni kapılar açmayı çok önemsediklerini kaydeden Başkan Ali Bahar, “Bu çerçevede de Odalarla yapılmış olan iş birliği anlaşmalarını yenilemek ve daha aktif bir hale getirmek arzusundayız. İlk başlangıç noktası olarak da Varşova’yı seçtik. Bu seçimimizde Polonya’nın son on yıllarda göstermiş olduğu ekonomik performansın ve gelişme ivmesinin yanı sıra ülkelerimiz arasında hali hazırda var olan dostane ilişkilerin payı da büyüktür. Bizleri bu kadar sıcak ve dostane karşılıyor olmanız da çok mutlu etti, karşılıklı iş birliğimiz adına çok güzel bir başlangıç yapmış olduk” dedi. Antalyalı sanayicilerin, ihracatçıların çok farklı sektörlerde dünya standartlarında üretim yaptıklarını kaydeden Başkan Bahar, “Sağlık ve kongre turizminde önde gelen destinasyonlardan biriyiz. Bilişim ve çeşitli inovatif sektörlerde de birçok başarılı girişimcimiz bulunmaktadır. Oda olarak ticari ilişkilerimizi geliştirmeye ve diyaloğa açığız. En kısa sürede sizleri Polonyalı iş insanlarından oluşan bir alım heyeti ile Antalya’ya gelmeye davet ediyoruz” diye konuştu. TÜRKİYE GÜÇLÜ BİR PARTNER Antalya’dan güçlü bir heyeti ağırlıyor olmaktan onur duyduklarını dile getiren Polonya Ticaret Odası (KIG) Başkanı Marek Kloczko, “Türkiye ile ve TOBB ile sıkı ilişkiler içerisindeyiz. Benzer şekilde çeşitli büyük odalarla da ortak çalışmalarımız oldu. Bu bağlamda Antalya ile böylesine bir çalışma imkanı olması bizleri son derece memnun eder” dedi. Ülkeler arasında ticari olarak büyük bir potansiyel olduğunu ve en kısa zamanda ilgili sektörlere yönelik bir alım heyeti ziyareti düzenleyeceklerini kaydeden Kloczko, “Türkiye güçlü ekonomisi, ticari ilişkileri ve dinamik iş dünyası ile güçlü bir partnerimiz. İŞ BİRLİĞİMİZ KATKILARINIZLA ARTACAK T.C. Varşova Büyükelçisi Cengiz Kamil Fırat ile bir araya gelen ATSO heyeti, Türkiye ve Polonya iş birliklerine ilişkin değerlendirmeler yaparak, ATSO komiteleri ile ilgili bilgilendirme gerçekleştirdi. Dünyanın her yerinden ticaret ve sanayi odaları ile iş birliği anlaşmalarını yenilemek, aktive etmek ve var olan anlaşmalara yenilerini eklemek istediklerini kaydeden Başkan Bahar, “Odamız; heyet ziyaretleri, ikili iş görüşmeleri, UR-GE ve HİSER projeleri gibi birçok faaliyetle ihracatçımızı yurtdışı pazarlarına açmak için proaktif bir şekilde çalışmaktadır. Sağlık turizmine ilişkin başarıyla yürüttüğümüz bir HİSER projemiz var. Burada görüştüğümüz kurumlardan aldığımız olumlu geri bildirimler son derece motive edici” dedi. Polonya’nın Avrupa pazarına açılmak isteyen girişimciler için doğru bir seçim olduğunu ve birçok fırsatı bünyesinde barındırdığını belirten T.C. Varşova Büyükelçisi Cengiz Kamil Fırat, “Polonya özellikle Baltık ülkelerine, Slovakya’ya, Çekya’ya ve Macaristan’a açılan bir kapı niteliğinde. Savunma sanayi firmalarımız, sağlık turizmi, eko turizm firmalarımız açısından Polonya’da büyük fırsatlar olduğunu düşünüyoruz. 2022 yılında Polonya ile ülkemiz arasındaki ticarette 10 milyar Dolar rekoruna yaklaşıldı. Umuyorum ki 2023’te bu rakam sizlerin de katkılarıyla daha da artacak” diye konuştu. SON DERECE MUTLUYUZ Ptak Warsaw Expo Başkanı Tomasz Szypula ile görüşen ATSO heyeti, Antalya sektörlerine ilişkin bilgiler vererek, Polonyalı ve Türk iş insanlarını bir araya getirecek etkinlikler ve iş birlikleri hakkında potansiyeli değerlendirdi. Antalya ekonomisinin aslında çok geniş bir yelpazede faaliyet gösteren girişimcilere, üreticilere, ihracatçılara sahip olduğunu dile getiren Başkan Bahar, “Üyelerimiz açısından Polonya’yla ciddi bir ticaret potansiyeli olduğunu değerlendiriyoruz. Her gittiğimiz kurumda büyük bir misafirperverlikle karşılanmış olmamız ve ortak etkinlikler yapma konusunda partnerlerimizin göstermiş olduğu isteklilik bizleri son derece mutlu etmiştir” dedi. Türkiye ile iş birliğimize özel önem atfettiklerini kaydeden Ptak Warsaw Expo Başkanı Tomasz Szypula, “Görüşmemiz benim açımdan çok aydınlatıcı oldu çünkü itiraf etmeliyim ki Antalya’yı yalnız turizm yönüyle tanıyordum. Antalya’nın, mobilya, tarım, gıda, makineler, tekstil, yapı, plastikler, kimyasallar, ahşap, sağlık turizmi, yazılım gibi çeşitli sektörlerde bu derece güçlü olduğunu bilmiyordum. SAĞLIK TURİZMİNDE İVME YAKALADIK ATSO heyeti, son ziyaretinde Polonya Turizm Odası (PIT) Başkanı Paweł Niewiadomski ile bir araya geldi. Antalya’nın turizm çeşitliliği hakkında bilgiler veren heyet, Polonya’dan Türkiye’ye tarifeli uçuşlar ve sağlık turizmi konusunda iki ülkenin turizmine yönelik fırsatlar hakkında görüştü. Antalya’nın deniz-güneş-kum turizminin ötesine geçerek turizmin diğer alanlarında ciddi bir ivme yakaladığını kaydeden Başkan Ali Bahar, “Sağlık turizmi alanında büyük bir sıçrama yaptık. Bu noktada özel sektör ve kamu alanında yapılan çalışmaları önemsiyoruz. Türkiye-Polonya arasında yapılacak her türlü iş birliğine hazırız” diye konuştu. Geçtiğimiz yıl Türkiye’ye giden turistlerin sayısında tarihi bir rekor olduğunu dile getiren Paweł Niewiadomski, “Biz 2023 yılında bu rakamın daha ötesine geçilerek yeni bir rekor kırılmasını bekliyoruz.
