Hulu New Releases: November 2021
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
As the Hollywood blockbuster machine continues to dust itself off and release some early winter hits, Hulu is going in a bit of a different direction with its list of new releases for November 2021.
There are no big Hulu original films of note this month. Instead there’s a whole host of original series. The TV parade starts on Nov. 5 with the release of Animaniacs season 2. Also getting a second season this month is monarchal comedy The Great on Nov. 19. The most intriguing series, however, is animated Marvel comedy Marvel’s Hit Monkey. As its name so graciously implies, this is a show about a hit monkey…as in monkey assassin. Naturally the hit monkey is haunted by the ghost of Jason Sudeikis because it’s important that everything make sense.
Though Hulu doesn’t have any original movies in November, its list of library movie titles is quite vast. Nov. 1 sees the arrival of Fargo, Inception, The Matrix trilogy, and more. Later on in the month, subscribers will be able to enjoy Deadpool (Nov. 15), The Master (Nov. 16), and Pig (Nov. 26).
Here is everything else coming to Hulu this month.

Warner Bros. Movie World is a theme park on the Gold Coast in
Queensland, Australia. It is owned and operated by Village Roadshow's Theme Parks division. After a star-studded opening ceremony on 2 June 1991, the park opened the following day. Many park attractions are based on Warner Bros. and related DC Comics properties, including thrill rides such as Batwing Spacesh ot and Superman Escape, family attractions such as Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D and Wild West Falls Adventure Ride, entertainment at the Roxy Theatre and the Hollywood Stunt Driver live show. Film characters regularly roam the grounds to interact and take photos with guests. Each afternoon, characters participate in a parade along Main Street. The seasonal

This Month in Disney Parks History: December
By Liz Mangan
We’re back with your monthly dose of Disney Parks history, and I can’t believe it has been a month since the last history post. Is time flying by for everyone else too? With winter holidays upon us, it’s time to dive into December happenings, so let’s see what Decembers of years past have brought to the Disney Parks.
1973: Pirates of the Caribbean opened at Walt Disney World over six years after the original version first appeared at Disneyland. The attraction provided plenty of controversy over the years as scenes were updated to more family-friendly versions or to incorporate characters from the movies. Most recently, the plans Disney announced included changes to the auction scene, coming in 2018.
1980: Less than a week after construction plans were approved, the groundbreaking and site dedication ceremonies took place at Tokyo Disney, which would become the third Disney Resort.
1983: The first Christmas Day Parade, featuring Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. as the backdrop, aired on television.
1989: A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, Star Tours opened in Walt Disney World, a few years after Disney partnered with George Lucas for the Disneyland version.
1991: Old Key West opened as the first Disney Vacation Club resort. It was originally known as Disney’s Vacation Club Resort until the name was changed in 1996. To this day, it has some of the most spacious rooms on Disney property.
1998: La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil debuted in a custom-built theater in what was then known as Downtown Disney. Disney announced earlier this year that the current show would end after 19 years of performances with the final show taking place on December 31st.
2003: Pop Century opened at Walt Disney World after lengthy delays. Initially, the resort was expected to include theming for each decade of the 20th century. However, the 1900-1940 section remained unfinished, and it was later developed into the Art of Animation resort instead.
2007: The reimagined version of Spaceship Earth opened, featuring the voice of Dame Judy Dench and on-ride touch screens.
2010: Mickey’s PhilharMagic soft opened in Tokyo Disneyland, making it the third iteration of the attraction across all the Disney Parks.
2012: Splitsville Luxury Lanes opened their location at Disney Springs, adding 30 bowling lanes and even more dining and entertainment options to the area.
2012: As part of the New Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and Enchanted Tales with Belle opened.
2012: The current version of Test Track premiered, allowing guests to customize their own custom concept vehicles for the first time.
2013: Animal Kingdom discontinued the use of paper FastPasses and was the first of the four Walt Disney World parks to test the change.
2015: To the dismay of Animation Academy fans everywhere (R.I.P.), Star Wars Launch Bay opened in the old space of The Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, adding multiple new experiences for the Star Wars fandom.
2015: In case the niles and niles and niles of jokes during Jungle Cruise weren’t enough for you, Skipper Canteen opened in 2015, giving guests the opportunity to dine with a skipper server.
2016: In a big shift from Magic Kingdom tradition, beer and wine became available at table service restaurants throughout the park. Prior to that, it was only available at Be Our Guest for dinner.
That’s all she wrote for this month. Can’t wait to see what we can dig up for January!

This Month in Disney Parks History: November
By Liz Mangan
We’re back with the second monthly installment of Disney Parks History, and this time, it’s all about November. If you missed October, you can check it out here. So, what interesting tidbits of information did I dig up for November? Keep on reading to find out!
1965: Walt and Roy Disney held the first press conference announcing plans to expand into Florida. For nearly two years leading up to the conference, they purchased land in the Orlando area under various aliases to keep their plans a secret. By not drawing attention to themselves, they were able to secure the land for a great price and prevent others from building on or around the land they wanted.
1971: Fort Wilderness Campgrounds opened a month after the official opening of Walt Disney World Resort.
1990: Yacht & Beach Club Resort launched into the spotlight when it opened 27 years ago, giving guests a New-England style-resort option and one of the best pools on property. Check out this Disney Parks Blog post that has construction pictures of the resort.
1991: Coinciding with the release of the animated classic, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage premiered at what was then called Disney-MGM Studios, now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
1994: Construction on the All-Star Music Resort neared completion, and guests were finally able to stay in some of the finished sections.
1996: The Main Street Electrical parade ended its first stint at Disneyland. After making its rounds to other Disney parks over the next twenty years, it would return to Disneyland in 2017 for a few months before retiring again.

2003: To celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 75th anniversary, 75 Mickey statues were unveiled at Walt Disney World. The statues were later auctioned off to raise money for charity.
2004: Stitch’s Great Escape opened at Magic Kingdom. To commemorate the day, Cinderella Castle was covered in toilet paper and graffiti. No, I’m not making that up. Check out number 3!
2004: Following the popularity of the Disney animated movie, Finding Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush opened in Epcot. Grab shell, dude!
2006: Another Finding Nemo Attraction, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, debuted at Epcot.
2015: The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights started its final run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after 20 years of holiday displays.

2016: Disney got in the holiday spirit with the debut of new holiday festivities: Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Christmas Tree Trail in Disney Springs, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration (Mickey’s Most Mumble Mumble Celebration as Julia affectionately calls it) at Magic Kingdom, and Festival of the Holidays at Disney’s California Adventure.
2016: A new projection show on Cinderella Castle, Once Upon a Time, replaced Celebrate the Magic at Magic Kingdom. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here:
youtube
2016: Remember this one? Disney announced cabanas would be available for rent at Magic Kingdom (and other parks to follow) for the rock bottom price of $650 per day. That lasted only a few months until they were discontinued in January.
Bonus: November was not a friendly month to the Disney Skyways. The Disneyland version closed in November of 1994, Disneyland Tokyo in November of 1998, and Magic Kingdom in November of 1999. Does anyone remember this one? I used to love it! I can’t wait to see what the new Disney Skyliner gondola system will look like at Walt Disney World.
That’s all we have this month. See you next month for December’s update!
