I just watched ‘Takumi Kun - rainbow coloured glass’ and the part where Takumi is jealous of the first year because he believes Gii is going after him made me think - we never see the seme deciding between two ukes… usually the uke has two or more semes fighting over him… can you think of any series where the seme is choosing between ukes? I’d like to see this dynamic!

OMG what a question.

I'm sure there must be SOME out there. Since the narratives are mostly told from uke perspective this is rare.

I mean sort of? I rewatched it recently and the claim that Aey is after Gene really doesn’t hold up compared to his actions int he first half. But, whatever.

And there's the faen fatal aspect. I mean if it's something with a girl a ton of narratives do this to the uke, but the most stand out would be Love Mechanics.

I mean the standard trope: is the uke decides between male semes and the seme decides between a boy and a girl. These are both means of showing the character’s desirability but in the seme’s case “manliness” and sexual agency must also come into play. So if the seme is an out gay character the competing faen fatal will probubly be a very femme caricature of predatory gay (as we’re seeing in KinnPorsche).

Also like KP the uke will probubly be a more tough ad abrasive character and the seme/uke dynamic is likely to be weak.

So here’s some speculations, that maybe might qualify, at least a little. They certainly have elements or plot points using this.

‘Kay, that’s my brain stretched on the popular/reccent BLs, I am sure there are other dark and less highly rated ones I can’t think of. I mean The Shortest Distance is Round has this trope but, yeah, NO.

And all of your major plot predictions???)... I read through your explanations and I have never been more embarrassed at my stoopidity and overjoyed at being contradicted before. i just really, r e a l l y like WBL. i rewatch it religiously and i think my hyper fixation on WBL borderlines unhealthy at this point lol. it's literally the only thing i watch and i've watched it more than twenty times now T-T it's crazy lol it's okay bb, it's just my opinion!!! i could be wrong haha but im glad i somehow convinced u <3

only about 12 days to go, im super excited! and, sadly, im gonna be busy the night S2 EP1 is airing T-T im so frustrated urgh. other than that... im just rewatching WBL, eating strawberries & writing stuff haha
