Enchanted is my favorite movie so I kind of already knew Disenchanted was never going to meet my standards, but bro omg they could have at least watched Enchanted a few times :/

#THEY DIDN'T GET IT THEY DIDN'T GET IT #Giselle loved reality BECAUSE IT WASN'T LIKE A FAIRY TALE BRO COME ON NOW #THATS WHY SHE FUCKING STAYED #She's literally fully assimilated into her humanity by the end of the original film did they not get that? #I REFUSE TO BELIEVE SHE WOULD MOVE TO SUBURBIA TO GO JOIN A NEIGHBORHOOD COMITEE AND BE A STAY AT HOME MOM #(women can want that life I know. but Giselle DIDN'T WANT THAT FOR HERSELF) #SHE HAD A WHOLE SUBPLOT OF HER REALIZING SHE DOESN'T WANT TO FIT INTO THE ROLES THE WORLD ASSIGNS HER #SHE WAS READING THE FEMINIST HISTORY BOOK SHE STARTED HER OWN BUSINESS SHE KILLED A DRAGON #Also I love Amy Adam's voice but Giselle should not have sang so much #Giselle stopped singing at a certain point in the original #which isn't to say I think Giselle stopped singing all together. I just think she learned there are inappropriate times to sing #There were other characters that could sing that I was hoping would sing more #and the songs in disenchanted. just. don't add anything to the story. it's like the movie has to stop in order to get their musical fix in #DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE ANIMATION #IT WAS DISRESPECTFUL IS WHAT IT WAS #THE BEST PARTS OF THE MOVIE WERE THE COSTUMES AND THE ROBERT/GISELLE MOMENTS THEY WERE SO CUTE #okay I'm good for now but if i rant again later sorry
