unlike in the game, badge gave up the whole travelling merchant thing pretty quick due to a slight incident they may have had with their projectile badge. This spooked them out of it pretty soon after it first kicked off, since YEAH THESE ARENT SILLY TRINKETS THEY ARE ACC PRETTY DANGEROUS OOPSIES!! instead they decided to settle in mafia town before the whole mafia thing happened and became a baker. Yes, it would make more sense for them to be a chef, but I find the idea of huge, terrifying people that have a stoic resting bitch face making tiny pink cupcakes fucking hilarious so nO. They stayed over the mafia takeover bc they were stubborn and now try to make sure they don't die from eating their HORRIFIC pastries while also running their own baking show
