Hey y'all, weird question time! Asthma related this time: Can the smell of mildew/damp/whatever that is be an asthma trigger? A pipe broke in my house earlier this week, and it is fixed but now anytime I go near the room it was in it's triggering an asthma attack, and the door to that room is like right next to the kitchen so that's a fairly large problem. We set up an air purifier and a dehumidifier in the room, but is there anything else we should be doing? how do you get rid of mildew?

#the person behind the yarn #I come from SoCal: land of less than 10 percent humidity #things just dry themselves out there #you don't have to like...deliberately try to dry things? #if you want to dry things out faster you can just open the windows #I mean why would you open the windows when it's like 110s #but the point is: you can! here in the land of humidity that does not dry things out at all #the pipe was in the wall shared between my dad's room and his bathroom #and they cut a hole in the wall to fix it and then screwed the rectangle of drywall back in place #should we like...unscrew that? #does it need to be cleaned? #I'm really hoping I am one of today's lucky 10000 and that this is a simple fix that I just didn't know about
