7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

oh something i love reading in fanfics is his exasperation. i feel like a lot of writers do it so well because you can just feel how exhausted and not in the mood he is to talk to almost anyone lol. plus i've seen a few writers really flesh out where that side of his character comes from, like where the line for his passion and dispassion comes from. so it's always really fun to read him in fanfics! also when artists draw him with red eyes!!! i don't think i have an actual preference on anime vs manga for his eye color, but since i don't see him depicted with red eyes often it always makes me go heheheheh

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

i mean i've only ever seen this take on tw/itter so it's not like hugely reflective of the op fandom space here, but the idea that mihawk is weak for not going head-on with admirals or emperors. it's already been pretty well-established that mihawk just wants to live a peaceful life (plus he's not an idiot???) so to throw himself head first into an antagonistic battle with no personal gain for him is pretty antithetical to how he's been written. it just feels like people are reaching too far without being grounded in what we already know about him. like his interests are swordsmanship + living peacefully. i feel like that foundation alone should lead to a better understanding of why he's acting this way in canon but i could go on forever lol

11. Would you date this character?

i feel like with mihawk, the real question is would he date me lmao but i mean.........yeah of course
