Can i get a scenario where mikoto is comforting a sad and lonely reishi. Like he's doing it in his own way the best he knows how. Like maybe he won't leave munakata alone all day, but doesn't say why. And towards the end when munakata is finally starting to feel safe he just breaks down crying with Mikoto holding him

This being Mikoto I imagine his way of helping is such that Munakata assumes that Mikoto’s just bothering him all day, totally unaware that Mikoto is actually trying in his own way to take Munakata’s mind off things. Imagine this in maybe an Everybody Lives style AU and say Munakata’s dad collapses one day while at work. He’s in the hospital and Munakata’s brother is with him but Munakata himself has only time for a short visit, because he’s so busy with work in the aftermath of the Slate being destroyed. He’s aware that his dad is getting on in years and Munakata tells himself well objectively this is to be expected but really it’s very hard on him, because even though Munakata is different from his family and rarely gets to see them he still loves them.

Mikoto notices right away that something is off with Munakata, like they run into each other dealing with a Strain and Munakata doesn’t even lecture him about being lazy and there’s no strength in the punch he aims at Mikoto’s head. Imagine Mikoto even says as much, like ‘you’re off your game today, Munakata,’ and Munakata gets just the briefest of pained expressions, so fleeting most people wouldn’t have even noticed, but Mikoto does. Munakata says he is perfectly fine thank you and Mikoto makes a hmm sound, figuring this guy is as always an idiot.

So after this meeting Mikoto decides to stay with Munakata all day, like Munakata goes back to his office and Mikoto is already there moving around puzzle pieces. Munakata huffs that he will be unable to get any work at all done with Mikoto there and Mikoto’s all ‘too bad,’ burning a puzzle piece. Munakata decides to go get some tea to calm his nerves and Mikoto comes along too, telling Munakata to buy things for him (and Munakata keeps calling him a child and telling him to pay for things himself, but still puts everything in the basket and pays for it all). Munakata goes back to do some work and Mikoto takes a nap on his desk chair while Munakata sits on the tatami sorting papers. 

Later Munakata tries to sneak outside for a smoke break and Mikoto is already there, easily lighting it for him. Maybe right before this Munakata got some bad news about his dad and he’s extra on edge so he finally just gets too exasperated, wondering what he could have done to Suoh so badly that he’s been bothering Munakata all day, not even giving him more than a moment alone. Mikoto takes a long drag on his cigarette and then says ‘just figured you looked like you shouldn’t be alone today.’ Munakata’s eyes go wide as that sinks in and he doesn’t quite break down but he ends up sagging against Mikoto, head buried in Mikoto’s shoulder as he says Mikoto is certainly an insufferable man. Mikoto just gives this noncommittal ‘yeah,’ wrapping an arm around Munakata and then just standing there holding him close in silence.

What kind of parents do you think mikorei, sarumi, izuseri, and kuroshiro would be to their respective children?

Mikorei are absolutely the couple where one parent is very strict and careful and has a whole educational plan set up for their kid and the other is like sure eat paste whatever it’s fine. Like you know Munakata would be such an involved parent, he babyproofs the house to a ridiculous degree the moment they bring the kid home and he studies up on nutrition and what music the kid should listen to in order to help grow their mind, the whole thing. Meanwhile whenever he leaves Mikoto to watch the kid while Munakata is at work the child starts like climbing on bookshelves and Mikoto’s just like ‘try not to break anything’ (because then Munakata would yell at him), Mikoto is a very hands off parent. Though even then of course Mikoto is protective in his own way, like can you imagine if someone tried to bully their kid and suddenly found themselves face to face with the Red Monster. Mikoto is also the one who gets Munakata to tone it down as needed, especially as their kid gets older and starts to chafe a bit at the extreme doting Mikoto is the one to remind Munakata that kids need some level of independence.

Sarumi, Yata is the eager and excited parent and Fushimi is the really cautious one who has no idea what he’s doing constantly and worries that he’s screwing something up. Actually in this case at least when the kid is young I wonder if Yata would have to be the one administering any discipline, since Fushimi would obviously be the one to take it harder if the kid gets upset about it (can you imagine the first time their kid says ‘I hate you,’ Yata’s upset but realizes this is a thing kids do while Fushimi is quietly having a spiral and Yata has to reassure him that no, this isn’t like when you said you hate your dad, your dad deserved hating). I think Fushimi might be an unexpectedly gentle parent just because he knows what shitty parents are like and he doesn’t want to be that way. Yata meanwhile is also super involved, I see him being really excited by every milestone and bragging about how cool their kid is. 

Izuseri are proper normal parents, though hopefully their kid likes anko (imagine Kusanagi’s face the first time their kid asks for a glass of milk with anko). I think they’d be good with splitting duties parental-wise, like some days Kusanagi takes the kid to the bar and some days Awashima takes the kid to work for Uncle Munakata to have a playdate with. Awashima I could see as the slightly stricter parent, I bet it’s hard for the kid to lie to her because she’ll just stare at them until they tell the truth. Kusanagi is the looser parent but only until the kid does something really bad and then they’re in trouble, like for Awashima and Kusanagi’s kid Mom is scary but when Dad is mad he’s even scarier. Otherwise the two of them are very supportive of their kid though and do their best to let the kid grow up healthy and well adjusted.

Kuroshiro are definitely another one of the couples where one is strict and the other is like hey do you wanna do a science. Kuroh I could see being a very involved housewife, he absolutely will not let their kid grow up without any life skills and is probably dedicated to raising the child as Master Ichigen raised him (Shiro is fine with this but please wait until the kid can walk before you teach them to fly a helicopter). Shiro is somewhat looser as a parent, I can just imagine Kuroh like coming home to their apartment to find Shiro, Neko and the kid all happily fingerpainting on the walls with no regard to who will be cleaning that up. I feel like Shiro would be sort of excited to have a kid though, just with everything he’s been through and now he has a family and even a little kid, like it really hits him here how his time is moving again and he doesn’t mind that at all, he can’t wait to watch his kid grow happy and strong.

MikoRei Romeo and Juliet au (the ones leading their clans are the former red/blue kings). It's funny to think how the story would go with their personalities.

Ah yes who doesn’t remember that iconic scene in Romeo and Juliet where Romeo punches Juliet in the face XD I suppose the clans would have a ‘true’ rivalry in this AU though, Purgatory and Scepter 4 constantly running into each other in the streets and having a huge fight and killing each other. King Kokujouji is really sick of this and would like these two households alike in dumbfuckery to learn to chill and get along instead of causing property damage in his streets. Mikoto is the young master of House Purgatory, really over all this rivalry stuff and constantly bored by everything. One day House Scepter 4 is holding a party and Mikoto figures he’ll party crash, his friends Kusanagi and Totsuka think this is a bad idea but Mikoto saw some S4 guy on the street and thought he looked punchable so what better than to hunt the guy down at his party and do some punching.

Mikoto arrives at the party and it’s as boring as expected, everyone’s in costume and he has to wear a mask so no one realizes who is. As he’s lounging around by the buffet table one masked guy comes up to him and asks him for a dance, Mikoto’s not interested but the guy drags him along anyway. As they’re dancing Mikoto decides to step on this guy’s feet a little, the guy doesn’t miss a beat and kicks Mikoto in the ankle. Mikoto grins like okay maybe not all of these guys are boring, his dance partner makes a comment about how barbarians are supposed to remain in their own territory. Mikoto realizes he’s been found out and wonders if this guy is going to snitch on him, the guy doesn’t seem interested in doing that though and they end up just back and forth insulting each other and trying to see who can kick who most discreetly for the rest of the dance. Afterward the guy sends Mikoto away and tells him to leave while he can, as he’s leaving Mikoto overhears from some partygoers that the person he was dancing with is the heir to Scepter 4, Munakata Reisi.

Mikoto doesn’t intend to go back to S4 but he feels like he didn’t get to bully that guy enough so he sneaks back in the next evening. Munakata is hanging out on his balcony trimming bonsai and Mikoto’s all ‘hey, asshole.’ Munakata raises an eyebrow and wonders what the scion of purgatory is doing by his balcony, Mikoto just climbs right up onto it and is all dunno just felt I didn’t get to punch you enough at the dance. Munakata primly notes that it is truly a low class person who would think to crash such a party, but he does admit that perhaps he did enjoy things a little more with Mikoto there. Mikoto’s all amused like is that so, Munakata glares and is like ‘I said perhaps.’ They’re totally enjoying each other’s company though, arguing and maybe sharing a smoke and when Mikoto leaves Munakata’s all ‘Suoh Mikoto, is it.’

Things are going well until one day after Munakata and Mikoto have been hanging out together for a while Mikoto’s friend Totsuka gets killed in a fight between Purgatory and S4. In retaliation one of Munakata’s fellow clan members, Kusuhara Takeru, is killed by Purgatory and Mikoto is framed for it. Mikoto is sentenced to exile but Munakata isn’t pleased by this, he feels that Mikoto is innocent and that together the two of them could maybe broker peace between the clans. He and Mikoto make plans to meet in secret but the head of S4, Habari Jin, ruins Munakata’s plans by announcing that the clan has already made preparations to wed him to some random member of the house in order to strengthen the clan as a whole. Finding the whole idea distasteful Munakata decides to just fake his own death and send a message to Suoh to meet in his tomb where they can decide to move forward from there.

The messenger doesn’t reach Mikoto but he does hear from one of his men that Munakata’s ‘died.’ Thinking that asshole wouldn’t die so easily Mikoto sneaks back into the city to find him, in the S4 tomb he finds Munakata appearing dead. Mikoto punches him in the head to be sure though and that’s actually stronger than sleeping potions so it wakes him right up. Mikoto figures this was a stupid plan and Munakata admits that it did make sense at the time. They decide to just leave the crypt and see about reuniting their families, luckily in the meantime Habari and Kagutsu got into a big fight and stabbed each other so now Munakata and Mikoto are heads of their families and they broker a truce between everyone. Kokujouji is initially happy but it turns out now they still cause lots of property damage there’s just less murdering happening so it’s still not entirely a win.

Ok now I reaaaally wanna know (because I'm Sarumi trash I have no regrets) what if Saru isn't the only strain kiddo? What if Misaki is a kid strain too that Homra comes across trying to defend some kids against big bad strains and Homra adopts him. ((And maybe he meets kid Strain!Saru in a meeting between Mikoto and Munakata and oops Yata likes him now better look forward to some play dates with S4 in the future)). *whispers* I love all your content. All of it. Ahhh.

So say Yata’s a Strain and he likes to think of himself as asuperhero, like he can create energy blasts from his hands orsomething and he was all excited when he discovered it because itmeans he’s special. His mother is really worried though because shethinks if people find out about her son’s powers what if he getsimprisoned or kidnapped by someone bad or experimented on and shetells Yata never to use his powers in front of other people. Yatadoes try but he’s young and filled with ideas about heroes andjustice. One day he sees some kids being bullied and uses his powersto save them, the kids are all amazed and Yata makes them promisenever to tell about him. Kids being kids though it comes out soonenough and eventually these strong criminal Strains come looking forYata to force him to work for them. They start shaking down randomkids looking for Yata and that’s when Homra starts getting involved,this is happening in their territory and they aren’t gonna let peopleterrorize their neighborhood. Mikoto’s wandering around the streetswith Totsuka when they spot some kids being menaced, Mikoto moves tohelp them just as Yata jumps in and uses his powers against theStrains. The Strains are too much for him though and it looks likehe’s about to be killed when Mikoto steps in and saves him.

Afterward Totsuka suggests they take Yata back to the bar, Yata’s alittle traumatized by almost dying but keeps staring at Mikoto likehe’s this amazing hero from a book come to life. Back at the barKusanagi’s not sure what they should do, he figures if Scepter 4finds out about Yata they’ll take him in somehow or do something tobind his powers, Yata doesn’t want that but Kusanagi tells him theremight not be a choice. That’s when Yata’s worried mom shows up, shewas told her son was seen being taken to the bar by some suspiciouslooking people. Kusanagi is trying to calm her when Scepter 4 appearsoutside the building, demanding they release the Strain child intoScepter 4’s custody. Mikoto ends up going outside himself,confronting Munakata. Munakata calmly states that as the child is aStrain he’s under Scepter 4’s jurisdiction, Mikoto glances back at aterrified Yata huddling in the bar and tells Munakata that Yata’s oneof his and as long as he’s under Homra’s protection Munakata can’ttouch him. Munakata gets this mysterious smile like is that so butagrees to leave. Kusanagi apologizes to Yata’s mom, in order to keepYata safe so that he can continue to live freely he has to joinHomra. Yata’s all upset initially at being separated from his familybut soon he starts seeing Homra as his second family, like Mikoto ishis hero and everyone’s always nice to him and plays with him andKusanagi’s a lot like his mom anyway.

So then one day some months later maybe Yata’s out shopping withKusanagi and gets a little lost, he ends up running into tiny Fushimiwho got separated from Awashima. They start to talk, at first Fushimiwants Yata to leave him alone but Yata’s all ‘if we’re both lost weshould stay together!’ As they walk Yata can see Fushimi’s upset(because Fushimi’s worried that he didn’t just get lost he’s beenabandoned) and tells him a secret, that Yata has powers. Fushimi’seyes widen a bit and Yata assumes that’s because Fushimi is impressedwith him, being all proud of himself. Maybe they end up gettingattacked by some bad guys who recognize Fushimi as Scepter 4’s kidand both Yata and Fushimi use their powers to escape. Yata’s amazedto find someone like him and he thinks Fushimi’s so cool, he keepstrying to get Fushimi to come to the bar with him and he just wantsto be bestest friends with him. Fushimi’s a little bewildered becauseno one’s ever liked him this much before. That’s when Awashima andKusanagi show up, having joined forces to find their lost kids.Yata’s like this is my new friend Saruhiko and Kusanagi’s just likeof course our Yata would befriend Scepter 4’s kid. They end upsetting up play dates between the kids, initially Mikoto’s wary andmakes it clear that if Yata doesn’t come back from visiting Scepter4 there will be trouble but Munakata’s willing to allow Homra to havetheir way this time because Fushimi’s face just lights up every timeYata comes to see him.

Dont know how you feel about horror anime (ignore if you don't like them), but I just watched Another. There are 3 kids named Misaki there so I kept thinking about Yata and wondering what would happen if Saru was Mei and Yata the transfer student

I’ve seen Another (I enjoyed all the ridiculous deaths, it was likeFinal Destination: the Anime). So say Yata is a transfer student whomoves to Shizume City from the countryside, the class he ends up inis rumored to be cursed. Before he can start school Yata hurtshimself skateboarding and has to miss a week while he recovers in thehospital. As he’s getting ready to be discharged Yata runs into thisweird kid in glasses who’s heading to the basement level, he’s reallyquiet and refuses to do much more than click his tongue when Yataasks him why he’s in the hospital, only answering when Yata asks hisname: “Fushimi Saruhiko.” Yata tries to introduce himself butFushimi ignores him, it’s only when he’s stepping out of the elevatorthat he mutters that he’s going to visit “that ghost, one lasttime.” Yata’s all confused and also a little creeped out because hedoesn’t like ghosts and suddenly the hospital seems all dark andspooky and it’s making him nervous.

So he starts school a few days later and the first thing Yata noticesis that all his classmates seem really weird and on edge, like classrepresentative Munakata is very polite to him but there’s an edge tohis smile. Class delinquent Mikoto sleeps all the time but seemskinda cool and Yata ends up getting along with him and his friendsKusanagi and Totsuka, the only weird thing is Kusanagi keeps startingto tell him something and then changing his mind about it. Rightbefore the bell rings to note the start of class Fushimi suddenlywalks in and goes to this abandoned-looking desk at the back of theclass. Yata starts to say hi to him and is ignored, when he irritablywonders what that guy’s problem is all the other students are like‘what guy?’ Yata’s immediately all ’…You know. Fushimi.” Totsuka,Mikoto and Kusanagi exchange glances before saying there’s no suchstudent in the class. Yata starts feeling really weird because heknows Fushimi’s there, Yata can see him, but none of the students andeven the teacher act like they can’t see Fushimi at all. Fushimi forhis part spends all of class playing on his PDA, not doing homeworkor even taking tests. Yata keeps trying to talk to him though,wondering if Fushimi really is a ghost and if maybe somethinghappened when Yata hit his head skateboarding and that’s why onlyYata can see him.

One day Fushimi shows up and he’s coughing and looking obviouslysick, which Yata figures doesn’t make any sense since ghosts can’tget sick, right. He ends up following Fushimi home, trying totail him all secretly even though Fushimi totally knows he’s there.Fushimi lives in this big creepy empty mansion, Yata sneaks in whileshaking and freaking out because what if the whole house is haunted.What he actually finds though is a lonely sick Fushimi and despitehimself Yata ends up helping him, making him porridge and trying totake care of him and in doing so Yata becomes convinced thatFushimi’s not a ghost, something else is going on. Finally a few dayslater at school Yata confronts Fushimi in the hall, demanding to knowwhy everyone’s ignoring him because Yata thinks that’s shitty, heknows Saruhiko’s real and he doesn’t like the idea that the entireclass is bullying him. Fushimi gets annoyed and pins Yata to thewall, asking if he’s stupid and doesn’t he know what he’s doing bytalking to Fushimi. Yata’s even more confused and Fushimi’s like'didn’t those idiots tell you?’ As they’re talking Totsuka suddenlycomes running out of the classroom, having gotten a call that hisfather was in a car accident, he sees Fushimi and Yata talking andgets this odd smile on his face as he trips and falls down the steps,impaling himself on his own umbrella and dying right in front ofYata’s horrified eyes.

After this Yata finally learns the terrible secret of the class, thatevery year there’s an 'extra’ in the class who’s dead and doesn’tknow it, and who causes deaths and calamities to happen to thestudents and their families. To keep the curse at bay one student ischosen to be 'dead,’ ignored and treated as a ghost for the rest ofthe year, and this year it was Fushimi. Yata’s both scared andindignant, he’s obviously traumatized by seeing Totsuka die but atthe same time he can’t see how it’s okay to just ignoreFushimi, especially since Yata knows how Fushimi is regularly ignoredand neglected at his home. The class is still terrified of the cursethough so they decide to ignore both Yata and Fushimi. Yata’s pissedbut he also starts getting closer to Fushimi, Fushimi’s maybe beencurious about the stupid curse thing and together they startinvestigating. Fushimi admits to Yata that his original visit to thehospital was to visit his so-called 'uncle’ – actually his deadbeatdad who died and was in fact the first death from the curse. Theyfind out that the curse can be stopped if the 'extra’ is located andkilled, but even that person doesn’t know who they are. Then theirteacher Professor Kokujouji kills himself in front of the class andeveryone has to admit that the curse is still active and there’s nopoint in continuing to ignore Yata and Fushimi. Munakata learns aboutthe research Yata and Fushimi did and is intrigued, along with Mikotoand Kusanagi the five of them start trying to figure out where thesource of the curse is. Half the class still suspects Fushimi ofbeing the extra though because no one really ever remembers seeinghim in elementary school (because he never talked to anyone andstyled his hair different) and Yata has to protect him, because hethinks Fushimi’s amazing and that there’s no way Saruhiko couldactually be the cause of the curse.
