I’m house/dog sitting for my neighbors this week. Apart from the walks, I mainly just have to be here at night so they don’t have to board the dogs, but I brought my laptop down to work during the day for a change of scenery. Going through my backyard, they are only two houses down, but the front of their house is on the main road in our subdivision. I’m all set up on their dining room table, which has a big window overlooking the front yard/street. My desk in my office at home also has a big window overlooking the front yard/street. I live on a cul-de-sac with like six houses. It is UNREAL how much quieter it is over here during the day, despite being on the main loop road. I’ve been more productive today than I have in months. 

#granted it's like 658 degrees out #but I have two sets of neighbors directly across from me who are in their driveway ALL DAY LONG #like y'all have some of the only truly private backyards in our entire neighborhoods #and you want to sit in the fucking driveway???? #WHY #it is HOT #you have a temperature controlled screened in porch out back #and decks! #I will never understand it #I must live on the busiest cul de sac in america #who do the most remodeling #or utilize the most yard services #or pest control #or whatever the fuck brings so much traffic #ok that is all
