I’m gonna live in my little fantasy world of shiv being a mother that is half decent. Like it’s the only thing she has left with substance and she’ll make parenthood her own in spite of Logan and Caroline. Which just creates a different kind of fucked up pressure for a kid that didn’t ask for any of it. There would be a long train of stumbles and fuck ups but I still think she’d try and get help without telling anyone so she can pretend she became mother of the year all on her own.

#I- I go back and forth on how I feel about shiv because she’s an awful person who CANNOT make up her mind #but the scorned youngest child and I’m miserable and I will take everyone down with me vibe hits home #she’s like the poster child of my parents fucked me up and I can get worse™️ #and despite all that I think she might be my favorite character #I just wanna open up shivs head and find out everything that she’s about #I’ve been listening to the audiobook for mothers who can’t love by Susan Forward for Reasons™️ #but it’s all about the effects unloving abusive neglectful and or narcissistic mothers #and in my heart of hearts I have to believe that shiv wouldn’t turn out like that #I think she’d be an intense mother but I also think at some point she’d get better #Susan talks about mothers that were bad at mothering but eventually have a good relationship with their daughters #not that shiv is having a girl for certain but the book is about mother daughter relationships #shiv roy #succession posting #succession #the Roy siblings #I wanna write a tomshiv baby oneshot so bad
