asdifialshf okay here we go (minus the ones i already answered):
1)  is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?
i desperately want to write some kind of fucked up vietnam vet cassian/din au but i’m not sure i have the history chops anymore.
2)  what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?
uh i mean i’m pretty sure my fanfiction dot net profile is still out there somewhere? other than that, though, i try pretty hard not to be embarrassed about my older stuff.
3) what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?
beginning to end all the way baybee. not necessarily chronological cuz i’m sometimes an arty bastard with timelines. but yeah, it’s rough when i get stuck because then i’m just STUCK.
5) character you were most surprised to end up writing
vivienne from da:i maybe? idk if i really nailed her, but hey. worth a shot. hot scary mage lady hhhhhh
7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?
neither? it just sort of is a thing most people know about me i think. it’s my dayjob. granted, not everyone knows how much of what i write on my own time is smut lmfao
11) what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?
it’s become more self-indulgent. this is something i forgot how to do for a long time. now i’m having a good time instead of making myself miserable trying to be a Serious Writer.
12) your weaknesses as an author
bro i cannot bear the weight of complicated plots. i just don’t have the bandwidth or the attention span. i wouldn’t know what to do with chekhov’s gun if my life depended on it.
13) your strengths as an author
uhhh dumbass empathy i think
15) why did you start writing?
read lord of the rings at a formative age and felt gay about it
17) if you could give your fledgling author self any advice, what would it be?
it’s okay to just write what you wanna read. also please stop reading so much sad white dude lit.
19) when it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?
i don’t. next question.
21) what do you think when you read over your older work?
mmm i guess i can kind of see where little bits of me that i recognize today were starting to develop? also i can see what a miserable baby i was in Creative Writing School For Serious People™.
23) any obscure life experiences that you feel have helped your writing?
one time i had to write an essay about trainspotting while nursing the worst hangover of my life (still the record-holder a decade later) and i’m pretty sure that did something irreversible to my brain
