Okay I remember that you said that in your hc, Diavolo's real name is Paimon. Which I think is really nice since the most loyal to Lucifer bit.

Except it's 3 am and my brain is screaming that "Wait but Paimon is in the Ars Goetia and technically under Solomon's control and why would Diavolo be under Solomon's control it would be really bad news wait-"

A Long story Short, I believe I actually made that headcanon before we knew that Solomon was THE Solomon (because I have been here since the very beginning of the fandom, more or less), and pacted with both Asmo & Barbs. So at the time of creation... It wasn’t a concern, lmao

I’m glad you think the reasoning is nice! That combined with how Paimon is depicted (just a skrungly little guy on a dromedary... goals), I couldn’t resist.

BUT this does bring up an interesting canon divergence for Lanternes of Light AU! Here’s what I’ve got regarding all that:

Because the lesser key of solomon is an anonymously published (and from the late 1800s) and generally takes large inspiration from the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, we can take its veracity with a grain of salt. My suggestion is that it was less of a definitive list of demons that (our) Solomon had made pacts with, and more that.... It’s a poorly translated primer on demonic societal hierarchy. 😎
