#keep telling me how he's actually awful and I'll just love him more #my flawed flaky blorbo #Give me the flawed content without condescension about how he's a flawed character like I know that's why I like him your honor #Give me morally gray Iroh content #Give me Iroh content where he knows full well the extent of the damage he's done but he can help the kids with the future #and he still has emotional growing to do #Give me Iroh content where when Zuko asks him if he'll take the crown he actually hesitates and has this internal Galadriel moment #where power is at his fingertips and he could have it finally #but he knows better #and is then repulsed by his own internalized desires that he thought he'd repressed #but also give me canon #where he KNOWS it's not his place - it's Zuko's #Zuko is the future #give me canon Iroh where he weeps for the son he led to his death and regrets it because he was raised like Zuko and Azula #to give everything to this war #Give me canonically gentle and stalwart Iroh internally dealing with the man he once was - the man he was raised to be #because he knows better #Neither vengeance against Ba Sing Se nor peace will bring his Lu Ten back #but he can prevent any more sons and daughters dying #I love this character both as an emotional support and as a complex of morals whether positive or negative
