God genuinely no disrespect to trapper/Wayne but his best moment of the show and the most moving piercintyer moment really is this moment Hawkeye has all by himself processing trapper leaving and processing trapper leaving him with nothing (“nothing?” he says) and then processing that trapper left him a kiss (and trapper’s not good with words so that means....) and then deciding he’s gonna have a romantic goodbye at the airport!!!! I love this little dude he’s an idealist and he’s gonna have a romantic airport goodbye! LITTLE DOES THIS BITCH KNOW

While I think post-war BJ could grow to be there emotionally for Hawkeye once his wife-guy coping mechanism has crumbled away (I think BJ wants to be there for Hawkeye ie the red party, the rocks, etc etc but it's something he simply isn't capable of as he is constantly being traumatized, which is pretty realistic tbh), but Trapper goes to Maine might win out for me because it's like, who's going to aid Hawk in helping draft-dodgers? Who's going to deface public statues with him? Who's going to break and enter in the name of good? Who's going to lie to the cops? TRAPPER!!!! Trapper "Big John" McIntyre baby!

AU where Charles comes in early seasons and begrudgingly becomes the third Musketeer to Piercintyer because FrankMarg is really That Bad. BJ comes in after and accidentally gets mixed up with the Frank and Margaret dynamic first, pitting the Trapper Hawkeye Charles Trio against him. BJ retaliates by trying to manipulate Frank and Margaret into doing evil 5D chess pranks like they're his minions. Everything eventually irons out, and the swamp rats (minus Frank) become a horrid unstoppable force.

That one time potter was like “Pierce, Hunnicutt, the whole camp follows your lead so you have to be cheerful” .....like really? I can accept piercintyer as a cool popular jock couple, but bj and hawkeye just prank each other, drink their homemade moonshine and then knit......they are the worst couple at the local couples’ only pottery making class...
