Nikolai dressed in Streltsy clothes !!

Honestly, I don't understand why they weren't given this outfit in the movie (that's the most common uniform I've seen for the Streltsy). I like it a lot actually (although I love the one they wear in the movie !!). I just want to know where they got the inspiration/base to make Ivan's men's outfit.

I'm just as lost as this dude:

I spent some time researching on this subject. #Yet I didn't get any satisfactory answer :/ #What I found was always the same: Streltsy wear an outfit similar to the one I drew Nikolai with. #But I'm sure there's a reason why the costume designers of the movie gave them those clothes!!
