Magneto, when he leads the Brotherhood, often drives them primarily towards combating hatred towards Mutants, often in a decisive and conclusive manner.

However, he will deviate from that mission whenever he becomes aware of Hydra activity or when he hears that the Red Skull us active.  Often, these are endeavors he will partake in by his lonesome.

Those with a history of Erik’s personal life will know full well why stomping out these activities are such a priority for him.

Maul’s death on Tatooine at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi was the only way Maul wanted to die.

Kenobi was the only one Maul wanted to be killed by because in the time since the first fight on Naboo, Kenobi was the only constant fixture in Maul’s life.  Kenobi was the only being in the galaxy Maul felt known by, even if the only bond Maul had with Kenobi was through hatred.

Anything else would have felt wrong.  Being killed by the Emperor would have been more painful than it was worth, as would be the case with Darth Vader.  And even if Maul had survived to see the death of the Emperor, it would have been wholly unsatisfying to him.

Dying at the hands of his oldest enemy, the Jedi who cut him in half, was the only thing that made sense to Maul.

When/If Damian becomes Batman, one of the first choices he makes is to eliminate the cape and replace it with a trench coat.

Damian doesn’t personally have any problems with the cape.  He’s proficient enough in it that it’s not a hinderence.

Rather, removing the cape becomes an extension of himself and a manifestation of his newfound agency as Batman.

To explain this, one should look at Damian’s Robin costume as well.  It’s so radically different than most of the other Robin costumes which came beforehand, namely the hood, the larger emphasis on black, and the more tactical-inspired boots.  Damian makes sure his Robin suit is distinctive in order to set him apart from his predesecors.  He sets himself apart to show that he has taken this identity and made it his own.

That becomes the same reason why his Batsuit is so radically different than Bruce’s or Dick’s, because he wants to set himself apart and break out of the shadow of the expecations before him.

As for why he replaces the cape with a trench coat, he figures that a trenchcoat can be an effective substitute for a cape with the right materials.

Daisy-023 wasn’t very close to many of the other children in the Spartan-II program.  The circumstances of how they met made forming close social bonds difficult.  There were a few fellow S-IIs Daisy had grown close to, however.

The first, and most noteworthy bond she had with another S-II, was with Ralph-103.  The two of them had created a support system for one another both during boot camp and after augmentation.  In fact, the two of them mounted a successful escape attempt after augmentation.  However, following their return to the S-II program, Ralph washed out and was dropped, though he would pursue a military history and join the Marine Corps.  Daisy and Ralph would meet one last time on Harvest in 2530.  While Daisy would be successfully recovered by John-117, Ralph was listed as MIA under ONI Directive 930.

Daisy was also relatively close with Jerome-092, on Red Team.  Like Daisy, Jerome had made escape attempts before and the two would work together to create new plans to escape the training facility on Reach.  Like Daisy, Jerome also dedicated himself to being a Spartan.  The last Daisy heard of Jerome was that his body rejected the augmentations and washed out of the program.  However, she has heard rumors that Jerome, along with two other S-IIs, were retrained and successfully augmented separate from the rest of the class.  However, she’s yet to see Jerome once more.

While not as close, she was familiar with Jai-006 and Adriana-111, as prior escape attempts of Daisy’s had intersected with Jai’s and Adriana’s attempts.  After augmentation, however, Daisy seldom saw Jai or Adriana.

Following augmentation, however, Daisy was somewhat close with John-117.  Blue Team, Gold Team, and Green Team all participated in Operation: Silent Storm in 2526, John commanding Blue Team and Daisy being the infiltration specialist of Gold Team.  Daisy, while not being on the same team as John, did grow to trust him for his decision making and his dedication to making sure no one gets left behind.  In addition, it was John who found and recovered Daisy on Harvest after the failed UNSC evacuation attempt.  Like most of the Spartan-IIs, Daisy trusts John and his judgement,

Erik obviously doesn’t have a lot of nice things to say about the Avengers for one reason or another.  Family members excluded, Erik doesn’t think he can have a dialogue with many of them because of who he is and who they are.  That being said, there is one exception in addition to his children: Steve Rogers.

Of all the Avengers who aren’t Pietro and Wanda, Steve Rogers is the only one who has earned something close to respect from Erik.  Though he did not meet the man during the second World War, nevertheless Erik has found that Rogers is a man out of time in more ways that one.  In addition to the obvious, Erik has found that Steve is a more progressive man than his era would have allowed.  While Steve Rogers has made many a mistep in how the Avengers handle Mutant affairs, Erik is not so cynical to know that Steve’s failures come from a lack of understanding and perspective, not from malice.

Magneto will still do battle against Rogers, of course.  He will not tolerate any potential danger to the dream.  But when he does battle with Captain America, it is not with malice, unlike the case with many of his contemporaries.

Kat-B320, along with Carter-A259, were the only two surviving members of Noble Team’s original composition, as of July 2552.  Nearly all of the other S-IIIs who were a part of NOBLE were declared MIA (in accordance with ONI Directive 930) following deployments.  When a S-III fell, another was quickly reassigned to NOBLE.  Jun-A266 and Emile-A239, along with Jorge-052, serve as examples of a Spartan being taken from a previously standing duty and being reassigned to Noble Team.

Thom-A293 was also a member of Noble’s original compositon, but he was declared MIA in April of 2552 following the Battle of Fumirole.
