She hadn't expected a response like that, she had to admit. She knew he lied to her all the time, especially about his mental state and health. It was always worrying her and it made her wonder if he had less time than she might think sometimes. But to be told about it like that... It was a bit confusing.

"Please be more truthful to me from now on. This shouldn't all just have to fall onto you. I'm older now and have a better handle on responsibility..." She was hoping he'd rely on her a bit more, honestly... "The last thing we need is anything bad happening to you, you know?..."

He had managed to say that just as she was taking a bite of her work complimentary dessert, and she could feel her face heat up at his words. She was quick to get the bite down before managing to find in her to respond. “S-should you really be saying that when the others are around, Ryou?” She knew they have been far from the least obvious when it came to being together, but it didn’t mean that she wouldn’t be embarrassed if any of the others heard them talking to one another like this. They were on their way to the back to get their own desserts, after all.

“You know I’ll stick around after everyone leaves, we can spend plenty of time together then.” After all, her dad just thought it was work and nothing more-

"Mom and Dad aren't gonna be too happy about this..." But she knew full well that given everything, it was the best option to go about all of this. She didn't expect to be followed, especially since there wasn't much to her or much reason for anyone to do so. "I'll message them and let them know."

Dad will interrogate her tomorrow, but she was used to that at this point.

"Are you sure it'll be alright? I didn't even notice them and I'm pretty good at that kind of thing now." She was oblivious to things sometimes, but she's become hyper-aware of people nearby. Thanks to Kisshu, mostly...

She had been rushing to try and get as much work done as she could before she left. Everyone else was gone outside of her and the boys, and she had been helping Keiichiro with closing whenever she was there till then anyway. She didn't mind it too much, and it made it much faster for him.

Ichigo had been working on putting the chairs up onto the tables so that the floor could be swept up. She didn't even notice one of the chairs she set wasn't quite in place. She was mindlessly trying to move to the next one when she felt her hips get grabbed and tugged.

"E-eh?!" She felt herself whine, but then she noticed the chair falling and landing on its side. She knew her foot was likely gonna get smashed had that actually landed where her leg had it...

She let out a quiet breath of relief, looking to see who it was and--

She could feel herself instantly turning red.

"O-oh, um... Ryou, I didn't-" She wished she could die now since she noticed the angle he had pulled her toward. This was how things start, she knew that-- "T-thank you for that."

"I have no idea." She hated this. The very prospect that they managed to get this giant table up the stairs instead of putting it in the storage room on the lower floor. Out of all things for them to put up in the higher floor storage, they absolutely had to put the table used for parties up here.

And now they had to get it down again.

"How on earth are we supposed to get it down the stairs? Even with all of us together, Do we even have the strength?..." The only way she could think of getting the table down was...

She found herself staring at it, the realization hitting her akin to a semi. The place was closed for the night, no one could get in. It wasn't as if anyone would see them if they just...

"We could transform quick and carry it down."

What was the worst that could happen?

"Oh, yeah, I'll be alright!" Ichigo rubbed the back of her head, laughing a bit as she looked over toward the other. "It isn't that bad out tonight, and it's early enough for me to get home before dark. Don't worry about me, you're the one that has a longer walk home between the two of us."

If anything, she was always more worried about everyone else than herself. Considering the situation, she knew it was fair for them to be worried about her, too, but...

She just wanted everyone to be safe.

"O-oh, thanks so much!" She was definitely far from the best role model, and she knew that. But to be able to hear it on occasion wasn't a bad thing, especially given how she and her other teammates bicker so often. "I hope the big crisis is over so that we don't have any more big threats to the world. But I wouldn't mind helping out on occasion for some things like how the comics do it, honestly."

"R-really, now?" That was far from the last thing she expected, nor wanted, to hear today. "Just when you're coming into the cafe, or all the time?..." Berry wasn't the first person to come to her or either of the boys with this concern. She was worried that this was that new force that they had come across prior, especially given how many of the mews have mentioned it now.

"Do you feel safe right now? Is there anything we can do to help you out?"

"I understand that, but..." This would've been something she wanted to have confirmed for a good while now. It meant that even though they believed their job to be done, there was always that chance of this happening once again. "You need to be truthful about this kind of stuff to us. While not everyone may wanna be here for this, we need to know what the future holds for us, and things we need to look out for."

"Yes, you definitely have." She commented back, moreso as a bit of praise from one to another. He'd been getting better ever since she took the reigns and forced him to have no choice but to come to her. There had even been one or two times he chose to come to her about something now!

"You're getting better about not keeping everything to yourself, either. If there will be a new member and the chance of a new problem arising, then it's the least that needs to be worked on so that everyone can work together!"

"I know that I just-" She was hoping it was just her. But some of the other females that have been coming into the shop... They smelled in a way that was like the Mew Mews. She had been hoping it had just been her, but she couldn't shake it no matter how much she wanted to. "It's just me overthinking, you know how I am. It's nothing serious, I'm sure."

Given how he's been acting lately if he found out the machine acted up on more than one girl, then he'd feel overly guilty about it... She didn't want him to find out about it, even if it was the truth-

After all, it wasn't jealousy... Moreso it was her own bit of admiration, she supposed. She was always so busy but yet made time to work here, after everything. Not to mention just how many more customers have been coming in since her inclusion...

She swiped her serving plate from its usual spot, huffing and turning to start to head back out. "You're overthinking everything, Ryou. There's no reason for me to be jealous of her."

"It's easier said than done when I have no idea what I wanna do." She instinctively spoke, looking over at the other. "Especially when people are bugging you daily about what I wanna do. Dad's been all over me about taking up something similar to him, while my friends at school are telling me to hurry. How on earth am I supposed to come up with some kind of answer with that kind of stress being dropped on me?"

No matter what, she was in trouble about it. "I was thinking about just staying here if you were planning on keeping the cafe, but I don't think they'd take that as a reasonable answer. They want me to go to college and do something bigger, but I don't know..." She averted her gaze a bit. At this point, the cafe felt like home...

She could feel the smile instinctively go onto her face. It wasn't every day she could hear something like that. Especially from someone she considered a close friend after everything they had gone through together. She was happy to be able to make it so that other people wanted to be better, just by being herself moreso than anything else.

"Was I?..." She hated the fact that something like that had been caught by anyone, much less Mint. She had been doing her best to not fall asleep lately, but the late study nights and extra hours at the cafe were starting to take a toll on her.

She couldn't even say why it was that she was crying in her sleep. "Wierd... Sorry about that." Some of the things they dealt with while they were actively the Mew Mews still got to her sometimes, and she didn't want to remind any of the others of any of it, so she kept quiet about it.

"I'll get back to work now. I'll have to apologize to Lettuce and Bu-Ling later, too." Leaving them to do everything on their own during rush hour was the last thing she had wanted to do.
