Aloy's Arcane Verse

A pair of scientists were working in their attempt to provide a way to end the loss of limb and life in Piltover, and their great strides were endorsed by the council because it would allow people to maintain their livelihood and prosperity in Piltover. No more prosthetics are needed, just the production of growing a new arm to replace one that is lost. That is what Rost and Elisabet Sobeck hope to accomplish. Unfortunately, despite all their progress and goodwill for the city they lived in, they were forced to deal with the corruption of the city they wanted to help. Marcus, out of desperation to create a weapon he could use to perhaps one day break away from Silco or perhaps do the dirty work Silco asked, blackmailed the very people who wanted to help others.

with the hovering threat of forged documents of importing and using shimmer illegally in their experiments, the two were forced to use their project for something else. With some hair from Vi, a prisoner he had just put away for no reason at all except in his twisted mindset to "protect her" from Silco, they started their work. It took months, to create the body, altering it just a bit to look different than the one in prison, and then encouraging its gestational growth. In a year, they developed a woman who looked to be nineteen. A clone of the brawler.

The clone was named Aloy by her creators, and they tried to keep her away from Marcus for a little while. They were astounded to realize that they didn't have to teach her skills like reading or writing, it's as if she carried the procedural memories, such as motor skills or instincts, as well as to speak. Her words were clear and concise and she did not need to relearn everything. What Aloy struggled with though was memories that she didn't understand. Memories she had no memory of having and yet there they were. Her creators tried to help her process but it was difficult as this was the first time someone had ever been cloned.

But there were days that Marcus would come around, and her creators could not stop him. He would try to drill into her head how to use her skills for him. What they had to fight against. Influences of being the 'perfect weapon' because that is what she was made for. She would not give up, her stubborn nature made her push back, and constantly question why. She didn't come when he asked, she refused to do what he wanted. One day he brought a file in about the one she was created from. Vi. Pink. A person unable to be rehabilitated. Marcus tried to explain how she was the future of rehabilitation and how she would be a great asset to his enforcers. this only pissed off Aloy more; she was a tool. She was just a tool to him and nothing more! She snapped back instantly and told him "Never again. I will not fight for you,"

Marcus realized his desperate attempt to make a weapon failed. The entire thing had to be destroyed; all traces of his touch were removed. Course Marcus couldn't go through with it, so he ordered a squad to "investigate illegal experimentation" at so and so, and that heavy force was allowed to "end the means" at all costs. Aloy's creators knew what was happening, something was going to happen, so Rost stood behind to protect Aloy while Elisabet tried to get her to safety. Unfortunately, there was not enough time. Aloy watched as Rost attacked the enforcers and died as quickly as he lived. Elisabet forced Aloy outside, getting her away, and told her to run.

Aloy couldn't just run, and she watched as the enforcers slaughtered Elisabet where she stood at the window. As the gunshots went off, Aloy had to run. She didn't have a gun, she couldn't fight back against them.

But she vowed to fight back.

Aloy struggles with memories that aren't hers, with no childhood or life. She has no clue who she is, or what she is. Is she a person, or a shadow of a person? She never asked to be created, she enver wanted to be created. She does not blame her creators, she loved Rost and Elisabet as if they were her biological parents, but in the end, she knows. She will never have parents, she will never have people who look at her.

She is a copy, a fake. And she doesn't know what this means for her. So she fights, this is what she knows what to do and how to do it. She fights against Marcus in the death of Night, a stealthy hunter. A killer of killers. Some call her Red. Some call her Outcast. Some call her Savage.

She calls herself Aloy.

　⊰ ⸻ ⊱　I know we have some plots with Shyvana already, so I'm going to try and branch out to your multi-muse if I can.

◈　Caitlyn　 ⋯　 We already got something with Shyvana and Caitlyn, which I like. I just suck with beginning 'first meetings' so I'm kind of struggling to reply. Maybe we can do something down the road, where Shyv and Cait are digging through some information she found and she reports back to her. Or maybe something more casual where Cait is showing her around Piltover, maybe they find Shyv's dad's old house!!?? Another one I think that would be cute is Yuumi. Caitlyn LOVES cats and she is a Vastaya feline as well, so what better one to meet than Yuumi? Perhaps she senses the magic in Caitlyn, and Cait gives her a home and a place to relax.

◈　Vi　 ⋯　 Alrighty, I'll be honest, I have no idea what to do with Vi and your characters. Maybe Vi helps Shyvana out with something in Zaun, perhaps a lead that takes them down into the undercity. Maybe something of her father's that gets lost and was down there instead of in Piltover. I'm kind of at a loss of what to do with Vi and your muses but I'm more than willing to try and come up with something with talking.

◈　Ahri　 ⋯　 Elise, a predator, meeting Ahri an ancient predator?! could be interesting, maybe Ahri somehow gets tangled in her webs and that's how they come face to face, except Elise can't quite easily 'eat' Ahri cause she's all claws and bite and not falling for her seductions? since so few resist it, maybe Elise is like 'oh... well, your interesting' and curiosity gets the better of her? Also Nami and Ahri. Maybe Ahri knows a bit of Nami's vastayan race, perhaps she's drawn to them because of their unique luminescent light (like a moth to a flame, Ahri is very like 'ohhh' with colorful vastaya). Ahri is a protector of Vastaya as well, so maybe Nami was being hunted by a poacher and Ahri dealt with that?

◈　Aloy　 ⋯　 So with Aloy, I'm going to use her Arcane/LOL verse as well. Despite Aloy's brutality and being a 'killer of killers' maybe Yuumi senses her kindness. Like her good heart and gives Aloy the companionship she hasn't had in years? Aloy is primarily in Zaun, so I'm not sure how to work the other muses, maybe Shyvana runs into her in Zaun, and they help each other out? It's another one of those I'm not sure what to do.

　⊰ ⸻ ⊱　Okay, so let's see what I can work up and figure out for Elise.

◈　Caitlyn　 ⋯　 So for Caitlyn and Elise, maybe Caitlyn can provide help to Elise. Since she has a little clinic opened up, perhaps  Caitlyn starts to give Elise money to help her, even having some medicines imported directly to Elise to help her. Maybe the reason this started is because of an incident in Zaun and Caitlyn and Vi went to Elise's clinic to get help. Maybe Caitlyn talks with Elise about Magic as well, due to her empathy powers she doesn't have anyone she can talk to about it except Vi, so having another person who might understand could be interesting too.

◈　Vi　 ⋯　 Okay, so Caitlyn and Vi are kind of a team pair, so the plot above could be used for Elise and Vi to interact. Also, depending on when Elise came to Zaun, it's possible they interacted when they were younger (Looking at Elise's age, she is one year older than Vi) so if she was around during her teen years, they could have interacted that way. Perhaps Vi and Elise were close friends before shit hit the fan and things went back. Be interesting for someone who knew Vi when she was younger and a teenager, to see how much she changed now as an adult.

◈　Ahri　 ⋯　 Ahri is so god damn old XD With how much magic Elise knows, perhaps she has read stories about Ahri, perhaps her illusion magic that Elise has is almost inspired by Ahri's illusion magic. I could see Elise reading about Ahri's years as a sort of reaper of the sick and dying, which maybe adds to Elise's wanting to be a healer. A kind of twisted difference of, Ahri saved these people from pain by death, but maybe I can save them from pain by healing.

◈　Aloy　 ⋯　 Okay, Aloy has an arcane/LoL verse so I'm going to use that since I don't think you know of her video game Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West (if you have please correct me). So Aloy is a clone of Vi, created in hopes of having a 'weapon' but she didn't really go for it and now is working as take down anyone who she sees as corrupt and often going after not just enforcers but others in Zaun or Piltover. Perhaps she took care of someone who was going after Elise before Elise fought back? Or maybe Elise takes care of a wound that Aloy had (despite Aloy demanding she is okay). Again, the kind of interactions with Vi could influence how Aloy and Elise work (a lot of my characters are kind of intermingled).

okie dokie! So, not only did I get my sideblog fixed up ( @ferallfemmes if you want to follow!) but I got a lot of threads replied to, including Baroness who FINALLY woke up.

Little heads up, Ferallfemmes has Mel Medarda, Briar (Rose), Aloy, and Nidalee on it. All have Arcane verses naturally. It is a low activity blog, as my sole focus is on Caitlyn's blog, but if you want to write with any of them be my guest!!!
