GFW Fake Rankings, 7/1
Sooo...Anthem bought TNA, renamed it Impact, brought in Jeff Jarrett from Global Force to run it, and now they’ve bought GFW so they can use that name instead.  Let’s take stock of what they’ve got.
Men’s heavyweight singles division - babyfaces
Alberto El Patron (GFW global champion)
James Storm
Moose (Impact grand champion)
Mahabali Shera
Braxton Sutter
Joseph Park/Abyss
Men’s heavyweight singles division - heels
Bobby Lashley (TNA/Impact world champion)
Ethan Carter III
Chris Adonis
Eli Drake
Kongo Kong
KM
Alberto and Lashley are set to unify their titles at Slammiversary on 7/2, and I guess now we know the TNA world title (which still says TNA on it) will be retired.
The other key programs lately have been EC3 vs. Storm, Moose vs. Adonis & Drake, and Sutter/Shera vs. Kong/KM.  Joe Park is sort of feuding with Scott Steiner but I tend to assume Steiner isn’t sticking around and that Park will turn back into Abyss soon.
It’s worth mentioning that Matt Morgan and Magnus have dropped off the face of the earth.  That’s especially ironic for Magnus, considering he was the biggest name Jarrett pulled from TNA to GFW, and the nominal face of GFW during it’s nominal existence outside of TNA.
Women’s division - babyfaces
Rosemary (TNA/Impact knockouts champion)
Allie
Alisha Edwards
Women’s division - heels
Sienna (GFW women’s champion)
Laurel Van Ness
Angelina Love
Rosemary vs. Sienna is also set for Slammiversary, so hopefully the knockouts title is retired and the entire “knockouts” branding goes with it.  The company has a number of other women who’ve appeared on Impact in the last six months, but most of them haven’t been seen lately.  Hopefully they’ll return in force after Slammiversary, and GFW can start the process of catching up to the progress in the WWE women’s division.
Men’s X division - babyfaces
Sonjay Dutt (TNA/Impact X champion)
Eddie Edwards
Matt Sydal
Andrew Everett
Suicide/Caleb Konley
Men’s X division - heels
Low Ki
Davey Richards
Trevor Lee
No surprise Dutt is on top of the division, given that he was part of Jarrett’s inner circle when GFW was trying to get off the ground.  He held the GFW “nex*gen” title (which was essentially a knockoff of the X title) for a long time, but dropped it to Cody Rhodes a few months back.  It doesn’t look like Cody’s coming back any time soon, so the X championship will probably be rebranded instead of replaced.
Men’s tag team division - babyfaces
Veterans of War - Wilcox & Mayweather
Garza Jr. & Laredo Kid
Men’s tag team division - heels
LAX - Ortiz & Santana (TNA/Impact & GFW tag team champions)
Mario Bokara & Falla Bahh
The tag division had to be completely rebuilt after the Hardys left TNA, and as it stands they still have a lot of work to do.  LAX is technically an entire stable (including Konnan, Homicide, Diamante, Santana, and Ortiz), but only two of them have actually wrestled for Impact this year.  They’ve already captured the tag titles from both brands, but as far as I know they haven’t been formally unified.
Unranked:
Adam Thornstowe
Ava Storie
Brandi Rhodes
Christina Von Eerie
Desmond Xavier
Diamante
Eddie Kingston
Gail Kim
Idris Abraham
Luster the Legend
Marshe Rockett
Magnus
Matt Morgan
MJ Jenkins
ODB
Rockstar Spud
Scott Steiner
Tyrus
No matches since February: Grado, Homicide, Madison Rayne, Robbie E
Inactive:
DJ Z (colon - rupture)
Bram (undisclosed injury)
It’ll be interesting to see what becomes Kingston, Spud, Tyrus, Grado, Robbie E, DJ Z, Bram, Brandi, and Rockett.  All of them came to TNA when Dixie Carter was in charge and Jeff Jarrett was on the outs, and since Jeff’s been back in power they haven’t been given much to do.
Listed on the GFW roster, but committed to other promotions: Chris Sabin, Chuck Taylor, Colt Cabana, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Kevin Kross, KUSHIDA, Lance Archer/Lance Hoyt, Seiya Sanada, Shelton Benjamin, Takaaki Watanabe/EVIL, Trent Beretta
As of 6/30, these performers are still listed on http://globalforcewrestling.com/roster/ even though they clearly aren’t affiliated with Jarrett’s promotion anymore.  Most of them were associated with GFW through its partnership with New Japan, which wasn’t very strong to begin with and couldn’t have survived GFW’s alignment with Impact and NOAH today.  Shelton is technically a free agent, but he’s reportedly still trying to get back into WWE.  I suppose Chuck and Colt aren’t so tied down that they couldn’t return to GFW (to the extent that anybody was ever really “in” GFW to begin with), but I’d think if they wanted to be on Impact, they’d already be there.
Listed on the GFW roster, but current status unknown: Ali Akbar/Ali Vaez, Bullet Babe, Cassidy Riley, Chase Stevens, Cliff Compton, Dustin Corino, Jamin Olivencia, Jigsaw, Jimmy Rave, Justin Corino, Luke Hawx, Lei’D Tapa, Omar Akbar/Khalil Gaspard, Phoenix Star, Virgil Flynn, Zokre
So the extensive database of global talent Jeff Jarrett touted in 2014 comes down to this: This is what’s left of the GFW roster that hasn’t yet shown up on Impact this year.  It’s not actually clear if any of these people are still in contact with Jarrett, since Global Force hasn’t really run any shows in months.

Alberto was originally scheduled to defend the Unified GFW World Heavyweight Championship against Low-Ki on this week’s live Destination X special. With a #1 Contenders match between Lashley vs. Matt Sydal happening, the winner of that may very well end up facing Low-Ki that same night to crown a new world champion.
