                       she grins,  a sanguine display within the circumstances,  but she supposes this is,  for him as well,  quite along the lines of status quo.  ❝  i’m extremely hard to humble,  doctor!   they’ll have to try  ––––  harder  –––  ❞  daringly,  suddenly,  she pulls at the steering device sharply,  with little hesitation in a bold move which sees them just narrowly evading a meteorite in their path,  one which barrels down at such a velocity it could only be coming from a god themself.  the sound of tumbling crew members not yet buckled in rings out from outside the cockpit,  but she appears unaffected.  call it what you like,  disregard or innate confidence in her crew’s ability to handle themselves on their own   –––   she can’t be bothered to make an assessment,  now,  and only focuses on the path at hand,  working her best to steer them out of the line of further obstructions.

                         ❝  what did you do to make it so mad?   –––    did we do something?  ❞      at the latter thought,  she laughs,  throwing her gaze behind herself towards the doctor before returning it to the task at hand.      ❝  i don’t know how long i can hold off a deity.  ❞
