years late at this point but still i mourn the death of singularity's composer and pianist, of all the black metal and tech death out there its hard to top those three releases, remarkable musicianship without too much wankery

#so far all ive heard that tries to stand up to it sounds as a cheap imitation #that kinda talent doesnt rear its lovely face every day #fuck man i jst love singularity so much #enfold darkness and demon king come close #i cant say i didnt love demon kings first album #its just so hard to stack up to something so phenomenal as singularity #whether it be their self titled or place of chains or that ep #their use of motifs is just *chefs kiss* exelente #how its melodic yet highly technical #again without being too much wankery and sweeping of the fretboard #where a lot of tech death bands may as well call themselves janitors with the amount of sweeps they do back to back #like we get it ur good at doing scales rly fast on guitar #i dont wana say blackened death will never have another like singularity #cos thats just pessimistic and dismissive of the talent that exists today in the scene #i just love their sound so much
