Trailer for Wicked movie came out and sure enough casting Cynthia was a horrible choice. That note at the end of Defying Gravity is a powerful moment. It’s like a battle cry. And she rifts it! Imagine Jennifer Hudson riffing at that final note in And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going! Like what??????

I know translating Broadway to film can be hard but come on! Just sing the fucking note! Do a rift when you sing it live at the Oscars or something but keep that shit out of the soundtrack. They are just so determined to make that mediocre woman an EGOT and she didn’t get it for Harriet so they’re still pushing. Get this woman out of here!
