Why, instead of keeping Gotham’s henchmen employed as hench’s that are now all cat burglars, could they not just make a new business with which to employ them and provide health benefits?

Open a god dang grocery store, or a book store. Something! Why teach them to be better criminals if they’ll end up henching for more dangerous individuals later. 

There’s no offramp here for aiding villains, it just keeps them in the same position, except with the ability to better cause harm in the future.

#this whole fucking 'event' is stupid as hell. like the argument just has more holes the more you actually think about it #also B-man has a history of offering henchmen and other gothamites stable jobs that keep them off the streets #but if we mention any of that then this whole kat's scheme falls apart #also ignore the systemic and deeply rooted issues inherent to gotham by virtue of the various layers of individuals #constantly working to undermine any change that B-man could ever try to enact #at any moment theirs like 10 other persons whose vested interests include keeping gotham a cesspool of crime and corruption #and when they deal with one two more pop back up to fill that new void #and also there's the meta angle of if he were ever allowed any permanent positive changes then DC has no ip to milk #its a Sisyphean task by virtue of him being a character owned by a company that wants eternal profit off his struggle #none of the other heroes from this universe get nearly this kind of flack for their everlasting fight against evil #but hey i guess they get dental now
