Xemnas probably has the biggest issue with this, mostly because he's been attached to the hip with Luxu for as long as he can remember. Meanwhile, Luxu has lived lifetimes without any real attachments, and he also has a skewed sense of time at this point. So I imagine that, at times, Luxu unknowingly exacerbates this problem, going away on missions for longer than intended because what feels like forever to Xemnas is probably the blink of an eye to him.

Xemnas probably deals with this by monologuing to the moon about his problems in the vaguest way he can. Saix standing by with his clipboard, just wanting to get his work done. Eventually getting used to his boss becoming even more weird and reclusive when a certain someone is away on missions for too long...

And I don't think Luxu ever really notices an absence from Xem until he's gone gone, and even then, it takes a while. Like, oh, right, I don't have someone to report back to. Really not gonna see him again, huh. Has a sort of delayed reaction to the fact that he's really gone.
