brennans reasoning for hob eating the feather is literally so true i absolutely fucking get it its the most effective way to get something as close to you as possible and the most goblin-esque way to show love or appreciation for something. a letter from your favorite author that you love? eat it. a feather from your something-just-happened-between-us-and-i-see-you-in-a-new-light peer? eat it. it reminds me of how when you go to your loved ones houses on holidays and they cook for you and you clear your plate -- you love the food and appreciate the gesture and recognize it as a gesture of love so you fucking eat it you eat the love and its the best
