Something I’m very much putting as a headcanon for Alicent naming the twins (myrah and Aemond’s that is) is her looking back at her time with Jaehaerys I. I know we do not get that in the show but it something reiterated in the book.

But in the context of the show, I love the idea of Alicent, now dowager queen in this story, on the “other side” of her life as queen. How troubling it was as a pseudo ruler and a mother. Though she was young when he passed, maybe Alicent has a different perspective on Jaehaerys as not only a king but especially as a father. She thinks about the stories she has been told and the holes in them. It dawns on her.

In the end, she thinks you know who probably deserved better… alysanne and saera
