You'd think as somebody who identified as a lesbian for as long as I did, I'd be better at getting a read on what characters have lesbian vibes when it comes to headcanons but it's def not the case. Characters that I headcanon as mspec (Blossom, Princess Daisy) or aroace (Princess Rosalina, Cackletta) are often headcanoned as lesbian. But the characters I do headcanon as lesbian (Aelita, Pauline, Princess) end up often being headcanoned as mspec.

It's honestly really fucking funny but sometimes I do feel like a bit of an ass shipping characters that are largely seen in currently fanon consensus as lesbians with men; again Blossom and Daisy being go to examples as a local Blossick and Luaisy shipper... although I do really dig transfem Brick/Blossom and transfem Luigi/Daisy takes too but I enjoy any trans ship takes whether it be t4t stuff or a trans character with a cis character in those two examples. Granted I only ship like five things that aren't my OCs (with the color code puff/ruffs and Luigi/Daisy being four of them) but I always love seeing explicitly queer spins on my ships hee hee hoo hoo (which is what I do with all my media ships anyways nowadays)!

But at the same time I also explicitly headcanon characters who in fanon consensus aren't lesbians as lesbians. Pauline figuring out she was a lesbian while she was dating Mario, breaking up with him, but still being one of his closest friends is one of my favorites for example. To wrap around to Daisy, I do headcanon that she dated her for a period of time before they ended up not working out, but they're still friends.

I think the only character I absolutely align with when it comes to lesbian consensus is Somnsnosa from the Hylics series. Most lesbian character I've ever seen in my fucking life and both the fandom and even Chuck Salamone (the composer of Hylics 2) agree. Somsnosa and Wayne are transfem lesbian and transmasc gay solidarity to me.
