i was being a para sub in the high school and in one of the classes there was a sub for the teacher and both of us substitutes just sat reading at our desks for the majority of the period

#i'm most of the way through paula byrne's biography of mary robinson. i read 48 pages today #i have four pages left of one chapter (a 20-page chapter) and i might finish it later #or not. that's kind of my work book. i bring it in my bag. i don't read it at home #i usually read nonfiction when i'm at work and plays and poetry at home #tales from diana #that made me feel better abt my habit of reading whenever im subbing at the high school #there's nothing else to do #i used to feel naughty for reading when they would give me hall duty but i quickly saw other teachers doing that #and frankly you should read during that time. bc it's a whole bunch of dull nothing you do all day
