i can’t risk threatening to withhold rent but if my landlady doesn’t fix or replace the air conditioner unit in the apartment there’s going to be hell to pay

#don't reblog this! thank you #day before i moved in when i got keys from her i was like 'hey this AC unit is very moldy can i please get this cleaned up before i move in' #day i moved in i was like 'hey there the air conditioner is still very moldy and needs to be serviced or replaced' #and she drags her feet for 5 days before simply emailing to tell me she'll get to it this week #lo and behold: it's this week #and i can't run the insanely moldy air conditioner during a heat wave #i would prefer not to have to threaten her with legal action over this #because i'd like to renew my lease here and stay put for at least a few years #i'd like to not have to move again for a while thank you #but if she leaves me with no other choice then... #i'm either going to call someone myself to clean it for me #or replace it myself #i'm one anger-inducing moment 🤏🏻 away from punching that thing out of the wall and onto the ground below #dairy.txt
