au idea clonking around in my head where i take the hollowed out carcass of joanne's attempts at world building and use it as a framework to construct a cooler and more nuanced magic system / house dynamic / etc

#this is highly controversial but ..... it involves a 'what if r got sorted into slytherin' set up #OOOOH the cogs are turning #i just despise the lack of depth given to the way slytherins play into any situation #and i feel like u could rlly twist some of remus's personality traits to justify a slytherin sorting #also him being in slytherin and peter being in gryffindor would be a GREAT doorway into elaborating on how the entire system of sorting is+ #regressive and unnecessarily divisive #like it always alwayyssss bothered me that slytherin is CLEARLY (in the actual world of hp) a breeding ground for extremism and bigotry #and that it's clear to EVERYONE that the first wizarding war sprung from that #so why didn't anyone even .. attempt to abolish houses or at least restructure how they funciton #it's Odd. #also i have ideas for a cooler magic system #so take that #this will probably never come to be but i love writing blurbs and putting pinterest boards together and whatnot #rtw
