#and i would've preferred a more extreme version of that to be the main plot point rather than the body swap

So many fan reviews have gone over similar beats of why they liked and disliked Bayonetta 3. There's a ton of little things I could go over, but here's a summarised version of what really stood out for me:
- The sudden gameplay changes were jarring at first, then extremely fun and some of the highlights of the game for me. That Baal opera was so unexpected, and so much!
- Battle gameplay was fantastic and the different weapons were a blast. However, I barely used the heavier weapons because they were too slow for the fast-paced gameplay and I'd keep getting hit when using them.
- The camera during battles could be so frustrating at times and I got hit a bunch because it wasn't tracking the enemy properly. Locking on didn't help.
- Character designs for the main cast were good, though with the exception of Luka I think they peaked in 2.
- As usual, you can see the plot twists from a mile away. That wasn't a negative for me.
- Towards the end of the game I had next to no idea what was going on. But really, I've come to expect nothing less from the Bayonetta series and was prepared for that. I find it usually takes me at least 2 playthroughs before I fully understand the plot. Per usual, Platinum Games doesn't explain anything about why and how things are happening.
- The ending. It was a messiest part of the story. There was so much crammed in and it didn't feel like the ending the game had been heading towards. Plus the boss fight dragged on to the point I was sighing at the boss's HP metre rather than getting hyped. I'm not unhappy with the ending, just how it was executed. I feel if they had of tweaked a few things here and there it would've been way better.
- Aaand onto possibly the most controversial aspect of the game: the finale romance. While I would've preferred Cereza end up with Jeanne, I'm still happy she ended up with Luka (and anyone who wants to make a homophobia accusation, grow up). I love Luka and was bummed he didn't get a lot of screentime in 2 and barely any interactions with Bayonetta, so I was glad to see that was rectified in 3. They really should've expanded on their romance together though, because while I like them hooking up, it felt a bit mandatory, rather than backed by the emotional history Cereza/Jeanne has. To be fair, it was very in tone with the series, having a plot point happen without giving much backstory or foreshadowing.
Overall, the story was all over shop per the series norm, and the ending was only okay, rather than great. It's more than made up by great and diverse gameplay. For almost all of the game I was playing with a smile on my face because I was having so much fun.

I'm torn. And biased.. Although I do love Jin's new hairstyle, I really do miss his curly brown hair. And I did think Gun's bowl cut style was too cute for his character in my opinion. But unsurprisingly though... A lot of the time I am attracted to a man with short hair, he always has that undercut style that he has now. My shy boy became a confident man!
And those thick bulging muscles! They really need to manhandle me.
My gentle giants.
🥰😍🤤
(I hate emojis so much.)
That's what I thought. I'm happy, as happy as one could be, to see his scars.. But his scars seem light colored compared to Gun's dark scar.
Gun's a man who never drank alcohol in his entire life, yet was so able to completely outdrink every man in that group. And.. based on how I saw Jin's expression, you remember Jin is the lightweight of the boys when they were drinking with the adults. With Ju, family and friends.
But his drunk smile though! He has the most adorable smile. Actually, I think they both do. Everything these men do is so adorable to me.
I don't have any soft spot for women if I'm being honest. Maybe those pregnant women but not really for most women in general. Because I have personal issues with women. But.. I do have a soft spot for many children and animals. I hate children, I never want children. But I have never thought most children should die horrible deaths. And that also is the same with animals too. Men and women could be fair game.
When it comes to Ju's actor. I read somewhere, I don't know how true it is, but I think she would have been in the fight scenes with Gun and Jin. She was supposed to have bigger scenes. But that's all I know.
And, like you, that's why I'm curious about the comics now.. Since I'm not sure how different these last two (or three) episodes were, I would want to know the original ending before settling on this entire ending.
And I also don't know if there will be any other seasons either.
~
Besides anime. And besides Asian media too. Most of the "American" media I watch is usually European for me.. I don't know if I actually do like American media. Like.. I think Black Sails might be considered an American series I enjoy, and I would recommend it if you love pirates.
But Orphan Black is a Canadian show. But shows like Peaky Blinders, Gangs Of London, any other series like those are actually British.
So my opinion on American media is extremely limited in my opinion.
America does have trains, just not high speed trains like in the Asian countries. At least the trains in Korean. Not sure about Japan or even China. And I don't know about Australia either.. So no comment on it.
There has always been rare times when I preferred the American type version of media over the foreign version. But that's really rare for me.
I might have to rewatch Train To Busan.

Bloodhounds OCs
I really need to start reading the Bloodhounds comic soon. I might try combining the plots between in comics and the show into my stories.
If my character is a childhood friend to one of the boys, I can actually imagine both scenarios. That's why I'm being a bit indecisive about it.
Like.. I know Gun-woo's technically the main character so you do end up knowing more about him compared to other characters. But I also know Woo-jin's the secondary main character (at least one of them in the series), yet you don't actually know much about his character.
That's why if I make an attempt at OC being childhood friends with a character like Jin, I could try giving him more backstory with her too.
So I'm curious to know if there is more backstory for other characters - besides Gun and his mother - in the comics. But.. I don't know.
I'm seriously debating to remove the whole pandemic situation in this plot. And, honestly, I'm curious how different the show would've been if this show wasn't creating during the pandemic. Since I always think about it every time I watch the show.. Since it wasn't in the comics.
If OC is childhood friends with Jin. If she does slept over his house, I'll say it would depend where they fell asleep. Just like Jin.. She's always grumpy when she gets woken up, by alarm clocks or phone calls. And I just see her possibly pushing Jin off the bed or couch if they actually tried sleeping together (not sexually) if that happened so one of them has to sleep on the floor if they slept in the same room. Or something like. But! Regardless of who she's childhood friends with - Gun or Jin, I could imagine her having some spare clothes at their house if she is there frequently in case she doesn't have a bag that she brought with herself. Like that type of close friendship between them.
And if she was became friends with Gun (and his mother) by working in their café, maybe she made some attempt to protect Gun's mother before he showed up to protect both of them from those men.
I think.. It's kind of funny how I hate sneakers because I feel like those shoes are too restrictive to me, yet I'll wear boots a lot (whenever I am not wearing flats). And actually, I kind of want boots that would reach up to my knees. But because of my height, I don't know how the taller boots would look on me - especially because I have really thick legs.
And I rarely wear wedges, sandals, flipflops, and any of those shoes.. I never enjoyed wearing those shoes for the most part. And I still don't.
If I ever used the visuals of her with blonde hair, I might (mainly) use a lot of those imageries for the Girls Gone Vogue for another character.
And I might use blue hair for this character when she dyes her hair in the story, at least in the first half of the story before that time skip for the character's appearance. But.. where you going with dark blue hair in the Tattoo era, or brighter blue hair in the Wonderland era? I'm with the darker blue hair from Tattoo because a lot of the imagery of her is from Tattoo. So dark blue hair, dark brown hair, any dark colored hair.
But, for the time skip, I still don't know what I want her to look like yet for some reason. All I really know is the time skip is six months later.
~
High&Low OCs
Updates on some characters.
Blue:
She loves to playfully tease her closest friends; pinching, poking, or pulling hair. In a playful way, not in any aggressive way. Especially if it's my W/G character (but only if she becomes a H&L character).
Sometimes she models, possibly for her own clothing brands and clothing lines. Wait.. Is there a different between brands and lines?
Orange:
She knows how to skateboard, maybe to the least extent but she is able to skateboard a little bit. Maybe a friend taught how to skate.
She really wants to ride a motorcycle but doesn't have a license yet at the moment, which is why she rides with the original SHS trio.
"I want to ride a bike. I don't have a license either, but I'm thinking about getting one in the future."
Because of how energetic she is, every so often she goes hiking or mountain climbing with friends who enjoy those sporty activities.
She's good with children. If she and Cobra do end up romantically together, they have a family with kids. (This is mostly because I am always seeing the real Orange post pictures with her and her baby.)
Red:
Babymetal might be one of her favorite bands.
White/Green:
If she doesn't work in a bakery or even as a cook in a restaurant, she would still enjoy baking and cooking - especially baking - as a hobby she always does. That's her way of showing affection toward the people she cares about, regardless of who the people or person is (including other gangs too). Not sure who she's affiliated with.
She loves eating crabs and spicy foods. Definitely her favorite food.
She hates eating raw fish. Raw fish is her least favorite food.
She is a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, she gets drunk really easily. Which makes her friends tease her any time they're drinking.
Cold Tropical Fish is one of her favorite movies.
Her favorite sport is tennis. I hate sports.
I am not completely sure if I would use this White/Green character for High&Low story. So if I don't use her for H&L, I might even use her for another fandom then. I don't know. So.. We'll see what happens then.
Yes! My tall boys.
~
That's what I thought... Since we know the bully was also a hybrid like the two girls, would he have survived in some way like they did? But it was mentioned that, if you kill these movies, burning them is the best way to do it. And since Cheong is the main character, or was the main character, would he have survived too? Maybe as a hybrid zombie like the others. I don't know. And I wonder who the new antagonist will be too, besides the government. Since the bullies were the antagonists.
I'm the same. I've always hated Seinfeld.. I don't understand why a lot of people seem to enjoy the show. In my opinion. But I do know about the show because people in my family, like my own parents, enjoy the show. I never understood. I never liked it. But I know about the show.
unrelated to anything we’ve been talking about but it just occurred to me a couple hours ago because of tiktok that i might have a bit of a type, at least in japanese media. and it’s apparently short blondes if the recent trend is anything to go by. cobra, takeshi, chishiya. all blondes on the shorter side (5’8’, 5’7, 5’6) and all dominated my brain for Too Long after i finished their series agshdjdkl
so. short blondes …… unless yuki yamada’s around. sorry mikey/chifuyu/takemichi, but draken’s hotter.
~
they still look hot. i just miss the curls. and the floppy hair. they look much more grown up now, gun especially. i now irl they’re in their late-20s/early 30s but still.
so much muscular fan service. just throwing us a very long workout montage of them shirtless and muscly. a gift. ‘we murdered 3 (technically 4 but we didn’t know much about lee’s wife) characters in the last episode, but here’s your boys looking good as hell! look, muscles!!’.
his scars are so barely there. got my squinting at my ipad screen trying to see them. gun’s is so clear and obvious, it’s a shame jin’s aren’t, especially when they don’t have to be seen as much as gun’s is so they could’ve really done them up nice and detailed.
jin was sitting there realising that gun could have drunk him under the table at any point. gun’s tolerance is high af. meanwhile jin’s - or rather, was - a cute lightweight, tripping over himself after too many drinks and having to be carried to bed.
it makes me feels a little bad for jin in ep6, since he was probably still hungover that morning and not on top of his game when myeong gil’s men broke in. i wonder if he feels guilty later on for getting so drunk, even if he couldn’t possibly have known what was going to happen the next morning.
~
i don’t actually watch a lot of european shows, including british shows, nothing’s really caught my interest lately that i can remember rn.
australia has trains, but not like. bullet trains. a lot of the trains are like hauling sugar cane and such around. there’s some long distance travel trains, but idk how popular they are since most people prefer to drive or take planes. which is a bit of a shame because i like riding on trains. but yea, around my area, it’s a lot of cane trains.
~
depending on how this last episode goes, i could maybe see possibly replacing ju with da min. i feel like it’d be an easy switch with a lil adapting/development of her character. idk much about her yet tho because she only had a couple scenes in ep7.
gun woo is slightly more main character, since you find out more about him and it surrounds him and his mother’s situation a lot as the driving plot. it’s a shame not to know more out jin tho, because i love him. he’s fun!
with jin there is a bit more wiggle room for backstory, since there’s not a whole lot laid out there so you can develop it yourself.
i was looking more at her wonderland blue hair. like the bright vibrant blue, and the later faded out look of it as opposed to the darker tattoo blue hair.
~
i can see orange having like, band-aids on her knees from times when she’s fallen off her skateboard around sannoh. also, skater girl thrown in with all the biker boys, vibes~ is cobra gonna teach her how to ride a motorbike?
babymetal fucking rocks! i love their whole aesthetic, hence why i thought of putting them as the full-timers in ojou.
it’s funny to imagine w/g as a bartender at club heaven but she’s a lightweight. no doing shots with customers at the bar for her.
~
yea all the bullies died i’m pretty sure, but idk about the main bully guy. i’d like to see him come back because i thought gwinam’s actor was kinda hot, but also i’d be surprised if he survived that whole explosion incident.
my dad’s always telling me to watch seinfeld but i’m not interested. it’s a little too old for me, and i’m sure there’s going to be jokes that are offensive now that weren’t as bad then and i’d just rather not see it.

Recently I read "The Gender of Mona Lisa" (manga), and while the plot's interesting and I love the characters and the subject matter, I can't help but feel utterly disappointed.
And do keep in mind this is my personal opinion. I know others loved how it ended, and I do admit I loved how it had multiple endings to cater to different what-ifs
Spoilers for whole story:
I hated how Hinase had to choose a gender. They never seemed to connect to one or the other, and so it felt rushed and forced when they finally chose. I get that their thoughts about which gender they decided to be were vague to allow for multiple different endings, but still. The story that was built up showed Hinase as someone who didn't really understand what made up femininity or masculinity, and who decided that gender is complex, more complex than just blue and red.
Hinase just seemed so uncomfortable with the thought of choosing male or female and the thought of changing, and it took them so long, too. I thought the reason was because they identified as nonbinary, but in the end it just turned out that they were just not sure? It made me feel like all this buildup was worthless? Like where did these feelings of not identifying with either/or go? How are you so comfortable just choosing now?
Their decision to choose a gender was greatly influenced by the stupid plotpoint of Non-sex people not living past 20 due to intense hormone fluctuations. Now, I understand that gender and sex don't need to align, and if Hinase had chosen male or female as a sex while still choosing nonbinary as a gender, then maybe things would be different, but... I had hoped that they could just go, "Well, with my friends by my side, and by learning about myself, I can handle what comes my way! I can stay Non-sex and be happy and live a long and fulfilling life. I can handle it."
I wish it went that way, but it didn't. I'm happy Hinase is happy, but the moment they chose a gender, I just.. felt a break. I couldn't relate to their character anymore in the special way that I had when they were questioning and Non-sex. It made me sad, to not be able to relate to a character who I had earlier reacted to so hard it hurt. It was special for me. And it's kinda like, whoops! Well, haha, in the end they chose one or the other and even use the pronouns to match that choice! Welp, what can you do~?
Again, Hinase could've still been nonbinary while choosing a sex for their own health (to avoid extreme hormone fluctuations), but I still wished they could've remained sexless. That was kinda the magic for me? Having a totally androgynous body, not having a reproductive system, that sounds lovely to me. I wish Hinase could've had the freedom of that, of being completely in the middle, without having to compromise anything. Because that's something I would've wished for myself if I had the choice.
And now to the romance. I wish it went poly, like a corner or something. I'm sure it could work!! It's just, the whole manga when Hinase faces their feelings for their friends, it's like, "I think I love you both. I feel so strongly about the both of you." And in the end, when they choose one? Lol I had my hopes way too high. I wanted Hinase to be selfish and be able to have both Shiori and Ritsu. I don't know why I wanted it so much. Perhaps my problem is that Hinase genuinely seemed to care so much, so equally for both of their friends, that it came as a surprise that they chose one over the other. I honestly would've preferred it if they didn't choose either, you know?
Haha this is a whole rant, doubt any of it makes sense. I had a previous version written at around 6am that I think was worded better, but it got deleted cuz poor internet.
Sigh. This manga was really something. I read it, and seeing the subject matter and the main character, I felt I had never seen a story that I had so loved before. It made me cry and laugh and made me feel horribly uncomfortable, but in the end I was disappointed. My hopes were too high.

I just realized I can actually talk here. Like this is my account fuck u
Fucking uhhhhhh, hi ig lemme ramble abt my God ocs yea?
Ignore this part if you don't wanna hear (likely) unedited rambles lol it doesn't matter
CW: neglect/abuse, assholery/narcissism, manipulation, tread lightly!
read the under cut owo
Also don't steal my art I'll fucking?? Fight you????
So
I have three main gods that I wanna talk abt especially bc they've been on my mind lately.. Less get it, side notes are in (parentheses) and are bolded cause I have perception issues whoo I don't want it to jumble together is my point lol
First up is my asshole,
Giodine
they/them (preferred)
god/godself (i like pronouns that fit my characters, so I'm giving a bunch away for one night only at--)
Tumblr media
ID : Giodine is colored with gold-ish yellow skin and ginger hair. Their eyes are a muted purple and they have tiny eyebrows. Their lips are a muted brown and are full looking, their nose is sharp and points down. They have wings for ears and is wearing a blazer with a long-sleeved, collared shirt underneath it. The background is beige with a yellow square and a dark purple square partially encompassing it. It is signed GH (for ghoulish husband), Spork, 21.
(lemme know if that helps at all! I'm sure I can do better so lemme know!)
If they look weird here it's bc I accidentally made their face too long but believe it or not this is in fact just a doodle Ik I'm so fuckin talented babes.
Anyways, they're basically the first God to ever exist on my version of earth (though even that is fickle rn, world-building is hard unless I hyper-focus on it, and haha Guess What I Haven't Been Thinking About) and they're very egotistical and selfish. As I'll probably yap about later is how they're manipulative as well, especially to another God I'll mention, and very neglectful to the other... other one.
Their partner(professionally), or fiend as they call him, is sam who for the first few eons was, unsurprisingly, absolutely terrible to him. A few tender moments are few and far in between in what could only be described as a completely rancid relationship. I'll describe giodine's side and in sam's lil ramble, I'll describe his :]
I have to explain this because it's a big part of the lore and how they can't work together, even when one of them is very much near The Void (technical death for gods) BUT basically, with Sam, giodine created purgatory. The issue here is that they basically seduced sam into doing it. Well, even if they hadn't, sam was in lesbians(happy pride month lmao) with giodine and would've done it anyway. But the ISSUE is that with the creation of purgatory came complications. See, my gods have to take time to develop into their power, and considering giodine was first and sam was around 666th.. you see the issue. Sam wasn't into his complete power yet and thus lost a giant part of it that went into purg.
See, giodine saw no problem with this (until much later, they do get a VERY SLOW BURN redemption arc cause this ain't even the worst of it), they got what they were aching for out of them and thusly had no need for..sam. They laid him in the spot where she was made (fwi it isn't inherently sexual, it can be, but literally, they just merged together-- taking bits and pieces of each other (which sam did not have enough of) and earth and light yadda, yadda I'll post the story I wrote for that later if I'm up to it) and left him there in the grass.
Again, they saw no problem with that, the deed was done, they didn't care anymore. A common issue in their qualms, sam and Giodine. They did find an issue in Sam finding an issue in the lack of aftercare, which resorted to any message going to or coming from sam going straight to his assistant and going back through them for a couple of thousand years. They found that infuriating-- how could he not face them over something so small! and for years?! it was ridiculous. After forcing a face-to-face meeting, a heated proclaim of hurt from sam, and a bitter agreement to meet up every now and again, they got what they wanted from him. Again. It was a business after all, there was no point in making it harder than it needed to be.
Giodine doesn't necessarily like boundaries and tends to overstep sam's frequently. They also don't like his reaction to his boundaries being long jumped over, which thusly ends up in disgruntled messages being sent back and forth between them and his assistant for a month or three. It slowly gets through to them, but they tend to say some stupid shit and if they want sam to stay, they have to try and avoid mentioning how "overly sensitive" he is to something that happened eons ago.
(quick mention, there isn't like. time. here. so in all honesty, giodine probably counted earth days instead of Heaven 'days' to get that) Soon into their arrangements to meet, they seem to get on at least tolerable terms, obviously, a few meetings where neither of them feels like going apeshit and taking proper shapeless (or in sams case, he's got a newfound form for ANGER OO just for giodine 🤗) forms isn't going to fix a grudge that has yet to be apologized for by the way. But it's a start to a very long process down the road. Tolerance.
Giodine as an entity is very fickle and rude and demanding. They tend to have a short temper that no one else is allowed to have or comment on-- They were the first therefore they were the most important!
This is very obviously an issue. But it's mostly directed to purgatory. Almost all of their seething rage is pointed towards the poor entity, she's barely been alive yet and they already seem to hate her for things she doesn't know how to do. Honestly, I don't think Purg will ever fully forgive them for the unnecessary abuse of her character, but just as Sam and Giodine get on better terms, they had barely just begun fixing the hole in their relationship. As of now, Sam/Giodine don't have any minor plot points with purgatory other than the major one so I don't have a lot to say about their relationship right now. Maybe one day.
I'd go into details, seriously, but I just wanna ramble about their relationships with each other and their impact on each other's existence. Hope you don't mind a few secrets 😉
But, now, it's time for a new God, one I think most people take a liking to...
Sam (Samuel)
He/him
Tumblr media
ID: Sam is surrounded by clouds in the light blue, fading to a darker blue sky and the yellow sun. His horns are a darker beige, which is being highlighted by the sun shining down on him, he also has pointed ears. His skin is red which is very prominent in the sun. His eyes are completely yellow, his hair, beard and mustache are also black. He has an orange scar crawling up to his Adams apple. His wings are a darker grey which is also being highlighted by the sun. His nails are painted black and his hand is holding up the black fabric barely covering his shoulders. Around the painting is a gold and red shaded frame with swirls complimenting each side and a crystal at the bottom of it. It is lightly signed GH, for ghoulish husband.
Sam, Sam, Samuel.
If you don't realize right away, Sam is basically Satan, he's the ruler of hell
Like how giodine was the first to appear on earth, as mentioned before sam was 666th for funnie reasons. Sam was made from bugs, dried blood, and sunlight which sounds pretty gross, but he's far from it. He's a silly, yet neat, guy. He wears Hawaiian shirts and khakis (not around giodine lmao) for cryin' out loud! how bad of a person can he be? Apparently to giodine (for a while obviously) he was the most retched entity to exist. This very much hurt him considering the amount of fake care they showed him before. With a mixture of confusing feelings (which wasn't supposed to be a thing but Univerce went "lmao you'll be fine" and left... short explanation, Univerce is the Universe and is the entity who simply builds these planets and gods that'll appear there and leave them to their own devices, xyr not extremely important in this story. Nor would they care.) and feeling used, he decided that no he wasn't going to take that.
If there is one thing Sam knows how to do is to self preserve himself, even if that means getting passive-aggressive notes sent to him every once in a while. While this period, Sam was surprisingly the least productive (unfortunately giodine knew this and eventually mentioned it in one of their meetings which made him hide away cause like hell giodine was going to be critical of /him/) but he managed. It wasn't terrible, but unfortunately, Sam being able to talk it out with someone who does practically the same work as he does and gets newer, more helpful ideas was better in the long run.
Unsurprisingly, Sam was the first to initiate the healing of his and giodine's relationship but it wasn't reciprocated. Who would've figured, aye? Giodine kept pushing it back onto him and ignoring any progress that could've been made before. Which was frustrating.
The painting above was 'painted' by giodine, which is sorta where their relationship gets somewhat on an understanding of each other. Giodine gets to take a deep long look into who Sam is and tries to express it but it never fit him, it makes them realize that they never really-- truly got to know him. And all it does for Sam is make him even more confused about his place in giodine’s mind. He figured it's another fluke to get him to do something, so he ends up distancing himself when they start actually reciprocating his friendship advancements.
Suddenly, like a flash, Sam was forced to stay with giodine which is where the majority. I'll explain.
Sam...isn't actually the ruler of hell. Anymore, anyways depending on the timeline. His and purgatory's relationship has always been complicated, she always avoided him, and when they talked she always seemed scared of him. So in the end, they've never been close. Distant. Sam always wanted to talk to her, he made her, but if she didn't want to talk to him he wouldn't force it. But imagine his surprise as Purg singlehandedly took over hell in a hazed frenzy.
And not only that, had a personal vendetta against him!
Well, that would be the only explanation to Sam considering how he ended up broken and barely 'alive' at the hands of her. Horns broken and in tatters, pain and almost obliterated it felt like a hate crime. He didn't know what to do when he made it to the office, Purgatory was creating chaos outside his door and barely being able to breathe he felt like it was the end. So he called giodine.
Purgatory
She/her
Tumblr media
ID: Purgatory is surrounded by flowers that are dark grey and white. The light fades down into a dark green. The light shines down on top of her straight, white hair that has yellow flowers tucked into it.  Her skin is a dark brown and has a orange-ish yellow scar on her shoulder trailing up to her neck. Her skin is also highlighted by the sun. In one of her eyes, her sclera is black with an orangey, glowing iris. As for the other eye it it has a white sclera and the same, glowing orange iris. She has wings for ears, one dark grey and one white along with beige horns. She has a white fabric covering her chest. The frame is gold with white accents, but also has vines and moss crawling up the side.
(may have goofed a bit and forgot to color the sclera of her other eye white but ignore that pls)
Purgatory was made by Sam and Giodine, but to her it felt like a mistake. Why make someone that you’re going to be terrible to, she believed. Giodine seemed to hate her and eventually made her section almost obsolete because she simply wasn’t able to keep up with the backlog that she wasn’t taught to deal with. Not only that, she didn’t have any help with any of it, it was almost like she was expected to just do it on her own. Until Death came along to help, but that’s not what we’re going to be talking about right now.
And also, Purgatory is Purgatory yadda, yadda, I wont insult your intelligence.
Giodine’s thought process (other than wanting to be Real Close to Sam and once that thought filtered out, promptly ignored it) was that all the extras that don’t fit in either category of their thought of good and evil they’d go to her. (doesn’t matter cause in Sam's system it filters through ‘levels of assholery’ and depending on how bad you are you either just vibe in the upper city under rule of capitalism and possibly many under paying jobs or being actually tortured for his amusement if you’re just evil. Morally grey. Anyway, it could work p well in heaven if giodine wasn’t such a damn stickler.) But in the end, every day, less and less people ended up in purgatory, leaving her with barely any people and more verbal abuse from giodine who ‘HAS to take them or they would be more dead than they already are’. You see the pain she has to go through, right?
~Idea section, this is probably not canon anyways so dont take it serious~
My thought is that another oc (BA, you may have heard of him idk) takes over simply because Purg took multiple hims from alternative timelines (which isn’t allowed but what’re they gonna do, undead a dead clown? multiple times from multiple timelines???)) because she adored him and they figured ‘well we gotta redo purgatory may as well do it like this’ and make him a demi-dead-god. i think thats a cool idea right? anyhoo
~Idea section over uwu~
Purgatory overall is a fairly timid character, she doesn’t like conflict, is easily overwhelmed, and generally keeps to herself. She doesn’t see the point in being in any drama if she’s just going to be yelled at and scolded even if it’s not about her. The only way i could describe her taking over hell is this:
She was tired. She was angry and after feeling like nothing was in control or in her hands, she snapped. Why doesn’t she get anything or get to be ‘all powerful’ but they do? She knew if she took on Giodine she’d likely get thrown to the void, but sam? He felt fair game. Considering her fear of both of these gods, she planned and got her courage up to take him over. She had considered negotiations but in the end, she ended up going into a haze and ruining everything in sight. She was more powerful than she thought and once she started, she didn't stop until Death restrained her and Sam was already in pieces at God’s doorstep.
The aftermath was fuzzy for her and for everyone really. Godine was planning a take back hell while actually worrying for sam, sam was planning for a retirement, and she was being consoled while trying to get in contact with sam to apologize. Giodine wouldn’t dare let her talk to him, until she just showed up in their office. She didn’t have a problem with Sam, honest, she just was going to take shit over, but it got out of control.
Spoiler, Sam took her apology and they actually became.. somewhat closer after reaching an understanding.
I wanna say that giodine took them being okay and sam retiring as good as sam did about purg running hell, but they didn’t. Giodine and purgatory actually barely got along in the first place, and only begun ‘working’ on their bitterness toward each other because they both had sam to encourage it. I can’t say for certain if they’ll get better, as theyre both undying and have time, but I’ll just say for now its uncertain.
Also, Death is Purgatory’s girlfriend after all of that lmao.
And.. yeah, i hope this makes sense and that you like my drawings and ramblings about my lil story in my head, i guess this is my way to develop it without just keeping it to myself cause god forbid i keep things to myself hshsh. If you made it to the end, thank you for taking the time to read and attempting to process everything, and even if you didnt read and just looked to look at my art thank you to!!
