my roomates (group house, strangers to housemates) keep going places for their jobs and bringing back treats for me from other countries which is so sweet, but the first time one of them did this, they gave it to me publicly in front of all the roommates (there are many) and i was like hazelnut chocolate wafers so cool!!! thank you so much for thinking of me and getting me these hazelnut delights!!!!

so like. i'm allergic to nuts but at the time i was like omg!! love!!! my favorite!! so amazing!! so great!! cannot wait to try this brazilian tree nut!!! because my upbringing has no room for rejecting a gift or correcting a gift-giver's intentions.

but so now all my roommates always bring me back nutty things when they travel abroad because they think it's my favorite because i told them it was, so. kids, sometimes lying is worse.
