#theyve come so so far and i am so so very proud of them i am going to cryyyyyyyy #my boys my boys all of them are such creative pple and they deserve the world and then the universe !!!!!!! #lovejoy also have such a unique sound its like !!!!!!!!! the genre they play can get to be very similar with other music very quickly #but they just find a way to make it work !!!!!!!!! they have such a uniqueness that most musicians dont and its incredible how the universe #just made these four ppl meet at the best time for them to form a banger and be successful !!!!!!!!! like obv is there werent a pandemic #theyd still be equally as successful but i think maybe its be slower ? idk bc a lot of wilburs audience migrated to lvjy #and while im not saying wilburs fame made the band it definitely helped boost them soooo much !!!!!!!!!!!!! #theyd still grow big bc their music is good !!!!!!!!!! you dont get that with a lot of ccs turned musicians #its arrgrhhhhhhhgggg man i love lvjy #something about their music itches my brain and makes me incredibly incredibly happy all the time !!!!!!!!! #and i wanna talk about how all of them are so creative as well #i mean we see it obvious with ash and wilbur . ash with his vlogs and wilbur with his stories but joe and mark really are so talented too #mark with his phenomenal drumming skills . like !!!!!!!!!! hes insane on the drums !!!!!!!!! so so good theres no one else like him man #and joe !!!!!!!!! he helps with lyrics and really really good riffs and he doesnt get enough appreciation !!!!!!! honestly #okay okay i think im done now if anyone read all this way ty for listening ^_^ now go listen to lovejoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #and im still up to chat if anyone wants to :D

hey everyone! i’m bonnie & i’m so stoked to be here. i’m in love with joe keery and tyler joseph so here we are. anyways, here’s some lil blurbs about my baby, so just like this and i’ll message u for plots !

joe keery. twenty-five. cis male. he/him. the black keys. | i can’t believe i just saw DANTE MATTHEWS walking out of cadence records. they’re the LEAD SINGER/GUITARIST from the PUNK group HEATSTROKE who have been in the industry for THREE YEARS. the tabloids love to focus on their IMPRESSIONABLE nature, but they’re also pretty KINDHEARTED and they seem to give off a vibe that reminds people of THE CRACKING ON A VINYL, UNDERGROUND SHOWS IN CROWDED CLUBS, DIFFICULT GUITAR RIFFS, TEA STAINED PAPER WITH LYRICS SCRIBBLED ON THEM. 

background

born & raised in upperstate new york, dante born to two professors at the university there ( picture something similar to syracuse university tbh ) his mother lectured about ancient texts from all over the world and a father who was a professor in the music department. 

so ofc he was named after dante, the italian poet lmao 

anyways, so growing up during the breaks, he would sit in to his father’s lectures and that’s where he was able to find his love of music

and while he started learning piano around the time that he could read ( and he was already good at it by a young age ) he also asked his father to teach him to how to play guitar 

so he fell in love with guitar, and it didn’t help that his father played all sorts of old records from when he was growing up, so he naturally began to favor rock/bluesy music 

in school, he was never really an outgoing kid. you would have found him either reading comic books at lunch all alone or sitting in the band room talking to the band director

so he like scraped by, making passing grades in english, doing great in math because his mind is so used to the numbers bc u kno...music 

fast forward to his high school years and he’s becoming more outgoing, even playing at some local coffeehouses for their open mic night, which was a shocker to most of his friends ( the handful that he had ) because he was always so quiet and then boom, he’s performing on stage in front of a crowded cafe but he found that he actually loved it? 

it was something that he always dreamt of doing but never thought he had it in him but then he did and he was good at it so he started to perform more and more

for college, he knew he would always go to his parents university bc thats where his parents taught, so that’s where he went, majoring in music composition and he went through all four years, graduating at 22.

and following his graduation, the band moved out to la, trying to get gigs anywhere they could, renaming themselves heatstroke because cali was hot compared to upperstate ny haha

and finally, they went from having to only perform in bars or underground clubs, they got a record deal with cadence records & tbh dante loves it

like yeah he’s gotta keep up some of the fake rocker stereotypes but honestly he’s living his dream and he’s so in love with it

personality wise, he has two very different like personalities ofc. one for stage/the paparazzi so he’s constantly partying ( nothing too crazy tho ) and he’s outgoing and talkative. the other is for his personal life where he’s this awkward, comic book loving, d&d is one of his favorite past times lil sweetheart. and i mean he doesnt do a complete 180, but he still puts up a lil facade u kno
