look its unclear how long stede has been with the whole crew at the beginning of the show, but we know he didn't know only lucius could read. so it stands to reason he doesn't know a lot about them, right. what I'm saying is I desperately need a scene where stede is rowing the crew back to the revenge or w/e and he confesses to his newfound love and everyone exchanges money yknow haha but lucius is just deadass staring at him with a look of betrayal and disgust.
