honestly im really happy to see newcomers to tumblr from twitter, especially minorities/marginalized folks who will find twitter an increasingly unsafe or harmful place to spend their time.

instead of discouraging people from coming here we should welcome those who dont want to be on there anymore for very valid reasons, and as a collective vote against what’s being done to that platform. (nothing sends a message quite like a massive drop in users on a social media site).

it’s a good thing to leave twitter and not be on the trainwreck that is el*n musk’s little ego project.
