Absolutely LOVE the idea of an ib role swap au where ib is swapped with garry and mary is swapped with guertena, SPECIFICALLY the latter because I love the idea of painter mary being like a child prodigy who died very young and her painting of weiss being her trying to invent a father figure for herself because her father was either dead or very distant due to the disease which made her wither away and eventually die

Like OBVIOUSLY mary couldn't have made as many paintings as weiss did because she was so young but maybe most of the artwork on display could have been recreations of sketches of blueprints she made for statues

#random thoughts #ib rpg #okay so ib came to the exhibit with her two children who both ran off so she's looking for them #and then she comes across the painting and gets transported to the painting world #with garry who came to the museum by himself even though he's like nine #and she's like 'did you come here with your parents' and he's like 'pshhah OBVIOUSLY my parents LOVE ME i am NOT CRYING' #so ib's having to go through the painting world with this sobbing nine year old who's trying to put on a brave face and protect ib #because this is the first adult he's met in like nine years who's treated him with kindness #and then they come across weiss who's like this older greying gentleman #and he's like this CARTOONISHLY good father right. a nine year old's image of what a good father is #and garry's like YESSSS TWO PARENTS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE and ib's like hold on a fucking second #so yeah weiss eventually tries to betray them so he can get a rose and go into the real world #all the endings are still focused on ib so when garry gets through the painting her children come to tempt her away instead of her mom #and she's fucking WRECKED after garry's death so she stays in the painting world out of grief and guilt #and if weiss ends up stealing garry's rose and gets to the other side with ib he becomes either her brother and the kids' uncle #OR he becomes her husband I'm undecided #(also speaking of the children im torn between both the mom AND the dad becoming ib's children OR the mom becomes a daughter) #(and the dad is the mom's friend from school)
